Loose Trim

I have noticed that the trim behind the rear passenger wheel is loose.I can barely get my head under there(feel free to add humorous comments here!)but cannot see a clip.Perhaps it's glued so would welcome any advise.
Ordered a plastic crocodile style clip to see if that will solve it by keeping the 2 internal lips of plastic together but not sure if that's the right approach.
Suspect the trim was clipped by a pram at a car show to loosen it which is always the risk at attending these events!

Mine is the same (on SVR) - I assumed it is meant to be like that as I cannot see any old sticky pads that have come away etc but I will take another look…it’s the same on both sides for my car

The drivers side is tight against the upper trim which made me think something was wrong(1st World problem I know!).

There are two u shaped spring clips that push over each part to hold both pieces together these can be purchased from any jaguar dealer if I recall about £1 apiece hope this helps cheers Tony.

Yes, it's secured by a spring clip. (looks a bit like those paper supaclips). Part number is T3R16422. £1.90

Probably better order via a Jaguar or Land Rover dealer parts desk, if you have one nearby. Otherwise the delivery cost will be much more than the part! My local parts desk usually undercuts the online people (if you ask nicely) and most things arrive next day.

Yes, that is where a spring clip is.

The workshop manual instructions for the rear bumper shows the combination of screws clips, as well,as double some usage of sided tape.

The clip part number T3R16422 quoted in this thread is incorrect (probably a typo error)....it is actually T2R16422.

Oops, a combination of my spuddy fingers, when using a phone and typing without reading glasses makes part numbers difficult

Photos from underneath my car. The spring clip is further round near the exhaust. Mine has lost its tension and was a bit slack around there. I can't see any fixings nearer the wheel arch end, but there is a screw further up in the arch liner so wonder if it's covered up.

Hmm - thanks for the photos but not sure I’m any wiser - the diagram suggests clips go right on the edge. Might just order some and experiment!

I think the clip is near where the reversing light is and secures the trim from moving vertically and out horizontally (might be holding the trim into a slot near the wheel, can't remember).

The spring clip is plastic covered thin steel, which just rusts and loses it's tension fairly easily, when the trim wobbles about. It has a tang, to make it grip the trim as and it may also have a self tapping screw keeping it all tight.

Perhaps not the most exciting topic on the forum but have managed to source part T2R16422 from a Jaguar dealership in Watford.I expect the clip may fit where I have put a croc clip as a temporary "repair" which I expect will come away during my trip to Denbies tomorrow (weather permitting)!

Just to finish the thread, part T2R1642 arrived and appears to fit snugly as below.Thanks again for everyone's input(nice to meet you Mick at Denbies)to resolve this.
Now back to more interesting topics such as listing previous cars owned!

Unfortunately Jagseven I took the last 2 from them!I got the impression they maybe as rare as hens teeth at the moment which surprised me as they told me it's also a Land Rover part as well as for Jaguar.
