As a very small aside, on the topic of the badges, if you opt for the 'no badges' option when speccing an F-Type then Jaguar will still attach the F-Type badge to the left. The 'no badge' option only stops them attaching the model version to the right. It's no big deal to remove the F-Type badge if you want to, but it is worth noting in case you go down that road and get a surprise like myself.

In my case, I've left the F-Type badge anyway as it's in black and I have a dark paint colour (Portofino Blue), so it barely shows up.

That's a good point. Seems like Jaguar have been doing it this way for quite some time. Both my previous Jags were specced without badges but still came with the model badge to the left, which of course was easily removed on day 1 of ownership. I remember it used to be the same with Audi, while a BMW my wife specced without badges really came completely badge free.

It's a nice touch that you can get black badges and lettering now. On "R-Dynamic" cars the R-Dynamic badge in the grill still always seems to be silver though. Also easily modified... the R-Dynamic grill badge is the only unnecessary exterior badge left on my car because it's too much of a faff to remove it but I've blacked it out so it's barely visible like your F-Type badge.

This one can't - I have the sexy fixed spoiler!

Even if you did have the classy rear deployable spoiler, it doesn’t appear that you would do it anyway, going by your earlier reply ;) ......

Agreed. Many people debadge their cars to disguise the fact they've bought a poverty-spec model!

I thought this thread had already been buried by mutual consent but since it has risen from the dead, I will offer another thought.
Obviously, what owners decide they like and want to do with their cars is totally up to them and does not need any approvals from others.
It does seem to me that going for the blacked out decals is only a small step from going totally naked.
OTOH, in this day and age we should probably have multi-colored decals to reflect the owner's ethnicity and sexual preference.

I thought it had run it's course and had just descended into point scoring and bickering.
Obviously some can't leave things alone.
It's definitely "buried" now.
