Latest order news.....V6 and V8's

Hi Tel,<br><br>Hope it's sorted soon - mine's due in time for 1st September but I have a build date of mid July so there is a bit of leeway. V6S for me so maybe your V8 will be built a liitle sooner if they are short of V6 bits. Where did you read/hear about the supply issue?<br><br><br>Scoobydoo<br>

That explains the delay in my F-Type S. I ordered it about 3 weeks ago and my salesman gave an estimated delivery date of September or October. I received an email from him Friday saying Jaguar had accepted the order at the factory and are now saying November.<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" alt="Cry" title="Cry" /> I'll receive it just in time for our snowy winter weather.
The coupes didn't even arrive in the showrooms until early May in the US, at least here in St. Louis. I've been waiting ever so patiently since the commercials started airing in February. It seems almost every one coming in is spoken for. There were two in country that were close to what I wanted but not exactly and it is an awful lot of money not to get exactly what you want. I don't think the dealers are playing very nice with each other since the demand for this model is so great. Jaguar is giving me quite a lesson in patience here.
Hi,<br /><br />Looks like the V6 parts supply issue may have been resolved. I've heard that mine has been built earlier than scheduled and is now on its way for delivery to the dealer. <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Hi Hedgehog,<br /><br />I sent a PM to pete@jaguar in which I asked him to track my order and respectfully requested that the Meridian audio system be subject to extra scrutiny so that there are no issues upon delivery. To my surprise, Pete replied that my car had been built (before it's scheduled date of 16th July) and was now on its way to the dealer. However, like yourself, I've gone for a 1st September registration. Mine's at the dealer...managed to obtain some scratchy photos after it was rolled off the lorry!<div><br></div><div>Just waiting for the round steering wheel to turn up then it's time for the 2 day detail!</div><div><br></div><div>Pete, has been instrumental in getting what I was after when the dealer said it couldn't be done.</div>

Hi Tel,<br /><br />Great news. You will be able to take full advantage of this wonderful weather we are having with some top down motoring.<br /><br />Just hope the weather lasts well into September! Mine's arrived at the dealers a week earlier than expected. It's a V6S so it would seem to indicate that the supply issue is resolved. Collecting on 1st September so just 5 weeks to wait now. <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

They have now stopped making the xk so I imagine there might be more capacity coming online?
Had an Email from the dealer on Wednesday, the car had been delivered 6 weeks early <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><div><br></div><div>They wanted to know if I wanted to take delivery early, YES PLEASE !</div><div><br></div><div>Collecting it early next week.</div><div><br></div><div>Tony H</div>
Good news <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> <br />Years ago I would have waited for a new reg in August, but now it's twice a year I don't think it has the same kudos.Most people still don't understand the 'new' system and barely recognise a new reg, the monetary value is also not as effected as it was under the old yearly system.But hey, each to there own, they are worth the wait scoobydoo.
