Hello everyone.<div> </div><div>I am due to take order of a new F-Type Coupe V6S in September this year, having crossed the divide over from Audi. Very much looking forward to taking delivery of my new car in about 8 weeks time - this is the spec I have ordered;</div><div> </div><div>F-Type Coupe V6S RWD</div><div>Fire Sand</div><div>Performance Seats w. Fire Sand stitch</div><div>Panoramic Roof</div><div>20" Blade Alloys (will be painted black)</div><div>Exterior Design Black Pack</div><div>Parking Kit</div><div> </div><div>Car will apparently be a MY17 build.</div><div> </div><div>I reluctantly sold my previous car a few weeks ago - an Audi TTRS Roadster, mapped to Revo Stage 1 circa 400bhp. By far the best car I have owned to date. Had the RS from new, and kept it for over 6 years - so this shows what a car it is, and how I have struggled to find something comparable and just as special to replace it with. Was partly holding out to see what the new TTRS offers - and although the performance is incredible - given I had a map on my previous car - couldn't justify an additional 35-40k to simply facelift the same car. So maybe another RS in the future - but for now very much looking forward to the Jag.</div><div> </div><div>A little bit of a step back for me in performance - but still - I am sure there are maps available which can boost the car output a little bit - maybe you guys can advise me!? Will leave it as stock for a while anyway.</div><div> </div><div>Also plan to get the tail pipes painted black so the orange and black theme runs continuously throughout the car.</div><div> </div><div>I will post pics when I take delivery. Very much looking forward to learning a great deal about the car through the forum, and if it is anything like the TT forum - I will be overwhelmed with information.</div><div> </div><div>Thanks</div><div>Marcel</div><div> </div><div> </div>

<div>Welcome to the club :) We were in a similar boat with a reasonably tuned up Nissan200SX classic drifter, tried a bunch of cars but nothing came close to the fun/looks/unique combo and we had given in and decided to go for a big v8 barge for a bit of variety when we picked up an ftype on a one off rental deal for a weekend. Never looked back :)</div><div> </div><div>Based on that experience my advice is:</div>Step 1 - adjust to the width of the car, and the complete inability to see backwards.<div>Step 2 - decide if you need more power</div><div>So far one year in and we have not yet felt the need to go ahead with any tuning, although at times I still wish she was 6" narrower ;) There are some on here who have done a bit though, although less than I've seen with any of the other cars we've been around interestingly.</div><div> </div><div>Keep us posted, hell of a wait till Sep (that's one reason I bought used, am just not that patient!)</div><div> </div><div>Jess</div>

Welcome Marcel.<br><br>MY17....Wow...a car of the future! <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" alt="Thumbs Up" title="Thumbs Up" /><br>

Welcome to the club! <br><br>Fire Sand looks amazing on the Coupe, and buying used is the only reason mine is White. <br><br>Nice set of options there as well. I have no doubt that you will love the F-Type as much as the TTRS, it has all the theatre and more, as well as being an awesomely balanced car while pushing on. <br><br>Keep us posted with pictures!<br><br><br>

Very nice!!!<div><br></div><div>Why the 13 days wait? Is that photos of it having arrived at the dealer? If so, I'm confused on the 13 day wait? Whatever the reason, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait! Enjoy!</div><div><br></div><div>When did you place your order? We placed ours on 15th July and the system currently shows delivery on 14th October but our dealer seems pretty confident it should arrive before that, about the end of September. </div><div><br></div><div>D</div>

Yep - 13 days until Sept 1st which is when it will be first registered. Getting the alloys and exhaust painted black in the mean time also - so car will be fully prepped on pick up.<div> </div><div>Think I ordered around the beginning of July - originally expected it late Sept - but with luck - the dealer found a cancelled build slot, so it got brought forward. Couldn't have asked for better time - with a week to spare for the new plate giving enough time for the alloys and exhaust to be sorted.</div><div> </div><div>Now - need to find out who can do the scissor door conversion - really fancy having that done if not ridiculously expensive, and doesn't require welding / can be retrofitted back.</div>

Ah, that explains it, doh! Although we've ordered a new build from the factory, we'll be sticking a private plate on it so I didn't really think about that.<div><br></div><div>That's great it got brought forward. It really does look great!</div>

Oh Yes! I do like that. <br><br>Whilst you might have taken a downturn in terms of power and speed, the noise and presence will more than make up for it. Sometimes it's not how fast you go, but how you go fast!<br><br>I'd be down at the dealer every day just looking at it!<br>
