Reported yesterday

Although details are limited, and not wanting to speculate but this maybe linked to InControl if it contains tracking data of cars.

I have changed my InControl password. Might be worth others doing the same.

The Jaguar In control app requested that I change my password a week or so ago, no idea why at the time. The Land Rover app didn’t do this although the car logged itself out before changing the password.

I have now had an alert from Google that my details including email address and password have been posted on the dark web.

Again, trying not to come to any conclusions here but would advise everyone to change their InControl password and ensure you are not using the same password for multiple different websites/services.

Good heads up SimpleR - thanks
Changed mine for peace of mind, although have confirmation not yet detected on dark web.

I’d suggest to anyone who has the same or similar passwords on any other website or app they are also changed.

Thanks for posting this. Changed my e-mail account on there and password just in case. The password would have been no use to them for anything else as mine are all randomly generated nonsense with as much variance as the site will allow.

Fully agree. I use Bitwarden and have done for a long time. Mega complex random passwords for every single site and app. (No affiliation)
