Jaguar support - email address

Hi,

My F-Type on Sunday came up with this engine warning light (see attached engine symbol and text), I checked the Jaguar website and they say its a emissions fault and say I can drive the car, but it may reduce performance, this is an understatement, the car actually sounds and feels like a diesel tractor and I am concerned that if I do drive this whilst this is illuminated I may cause damage to the car/engine (even though Jaguar say you can drive it)

However since yesterday I have stopped driving the car

I have contacted 4 Jaguar service centres/ dealerships around my area (up to 20 miles), all of them have quoted me between 4-6 weeks before they can even see me

I can't believe a car that is 5 years old and has done less than 29,000 miles has this engine fault. I am looking to try and get in touch with Jaguar directly as surely this is a manufacturers issue and they should be taking this seriously

I spent the best part of 1-2 hours on the phone trying to get through to what I believe is the customer support centre

Does anyone have an email address or something that they can provide ?

Rather a bad run of the luck in the 9 days you been on the forum.

Service light on, passenger door won't open, great confusion about the seat belt display and now this which happened on Sunday. Presumably in the afternoon after you posted a picture of the selt belt information message without an engine error.

Perhaps it's time for a picture of said car or model year, engine, spec so people can help more.

I'm confused which warning light you have on but presume it is just the emissions light in orange which could be anything but more probably an O2 sensor however that wouldn't cause bad running. Don't really understand your post about the car being 5 years old when you don't even know what the problem is yet.

I recommend you don't send it to the Jaguar dealer who had no clue about selt belt information screen which has always been there.

yes been a bad week all in all, forget the other issues, this emissions fault is what is concerning me

The car is a 2019 F-Type, and this amber engine warning light came on at the weekend (the one in the picture saying it was an emissions fault), this is the issue that is concerning me, the internal door issue is something that can be sorted later, but this emissions issue has forced me to put the car out of action, due to the way it sounds and drives, the car has also done just under 29,000 and registered in 2019, so very surprised to see this engine issue appear

I would say it's probably just an O2 sensor which is quite common if it's just a solid amber light.

But if the car is not running right then you could call your breakdown service if you have one to plug in a reader and determine what it is.

the car is a 3.0L SC V6 F-Type Convertible X152, registered on September 2019, it had the 4year/64K miles service Sept-23, so service is due in 2 weeks as well (but that isn't a problem)

I did get Jag on Tuesday to run diagnostics (but it was at the same garage who were just as confused as me on the initial seat belt error OK to continue warning, which I know now I must have been brain dead and not thinking), that same garage said the (I have the DTC Summary) issue is a Cylinder misfire, the car really isn't driveable when I did drive it I could hear the engine ticking and sounded like it was going to cut out

Here is a picture of the DTC summary

I would guess a failed injector then. Again not uncommon from the few issues reported with cars.

That's quite a list of problems! Has the battery been checked? Have the codes been deleted to see which ones come back? Battery issues are known to cause all sorts of problems that go away with a new battery.

nothing has been deleted as of yet, that report was done by Jaguar and then said they can't see me for another 5 weeks

I am a member of the RAC and tempted to call them out to run a fresh diagnostics check, given Jag don't seem to want to do anything to help

I am in Basingstoke, I went to Jaguar in Basingstoke and they ran that quick diagnostics test on Tuesday, but won't do nothing now until late October (too busy...)

I live in Basingstoke, and went to my local Jaguar dealership, I did call the Reading and Newbury Jag branches but they offered nothing sooner either

Yes, top class diagnostics and work and can also carry out Jag warranty work with no hassle.

Ask to speak to Adam.

Got the RAC out on that engine warning light finally, they run diagnostics and said its Cylinder 4 misfiring - they have quoted me £526 to fix it

Hi, my car finally after 8 weeks went to Jag yesterday to look at this Engine fault light, they have confirmed today that is a cylinder misfire and needs to be replaced, however to do such a job they need 22 hours just to lift the engine out and they have quoted me around £5K for that and then another £5K in labour just to do the job (didn't quote me on parts yet)

The car has sat on my drive for 6 weeks waiting and now I face a bill of over £10K due to a engine fault

Very sad that a car that has only done 28K miles has this sort of engine fault

Sorry what are they replacing? And why do they need to take the engine out? Surely just an injector which doesn't need the engine out and 22 hours of labour lol
