Jaguar Breakfast Club Gaydon - 1st August 2020

The monthly breakfast club is this Saturday at Gaydon. Attendance/Tickets need to be pre-registered and a time slot chosen for entry to the museum/cafe. It look like there's also a Land Rover weekender taking place at the same time.

I'll be heading out at 8.00am, going past Southampton 8.45 ish, Sutton Scotney 9.15 M40 Bicester 9.45 Gaydon 10.15. (Timed tickets aren't until 11.00 so I might be crossing my legs )

Do you still need a ticket if you're not going into the museum?

It does say a ticket is needed to get on site. Although I read somewhere that there wasn't anyone on the gate last month. I think it's partly for contact tracing though, which makes sense. It looks like the £10 Jag driver entry has a tick box to make it an annual ticket. Any expired annual passes will be extended by four months (chucked mine a bit too soon).

There's a group of at least 7 going to caffeine and machine afterwards for the 12.30 - 3.00 slot.

I have been desperately trying to find a way to wiggle out of this weekend's non motoring commitments. Alas no, it being Mrs Midlife's birthday I didn't hold out too much hope. Plus we were up in the Midlunds last weekend so sadly it's a no from me this time.

What is the collective term for F types? Surely it must be a cacophony

Well, officially, it's a leap or a prowl apparently, but growl or roar would be appropriate. And cacophony is apt as well, at least up to to recent years.

Edit: Seems opinion is split and others favour a shadow of jaguars ... sounds about right for the black cars among us. ;
