Is there going to be a new F Type?

I don't really agree on that. Technically it was a great car, but in reality to bulky, looked wrong and targetting a very specific market that is fast declining. Last of a breed of dying 3 box dinosaurs selling double digits in the whole of Europe in most months and never breaking 2k a year over the last 5 years
.

The XJ is very bulky, but so is a Rolls Royce and/or Bentley. I think there is a limited market for this type of car. It has a lot of angles under which it looks beautifull - to my opinion - . But from the side and further away it looks weired. But you hardly view at a car like that.

For example : Toyota left the NL market with the Camry as it became too expensive due to stupid taxation in the Netherlands. Now they entered again, with the hybrid Camry sedan. I think it will be a hit, as its a very complete car, creating a market in its own right. Specificly in countries like the Netherlands, Ireland and Portugal with obscene CO2 based taxation.

[ image of D3 removed. Forgot posting D3 pictures is illegal , sorry . Better not upset the moderator].

Dan, there are times in life when you can push things and there are other times when you can't.
This is a time when you can't.
Best to step away from the keyboard for a while.

I warned you officially before following your unpleasant PM to me the last time
PhilB,

You point this out in another thread. Subsequently I read back the PMyou refer to and realised you wrote then
I should not post a picture of a D3 on the F-Type forum.

I instantly remebered I recently posted a photo of my D3 and removed it. I explicitly followed your instructions.

And that's not OK also ?

I removed the part about upsetting you, as that upsets you.

OK now ?

You know full well the issue was you posting pictures in the F-Type Gallery that weren't of an F-Type.
There are no issues with posting pictures of other vehicles in other parts of the foums
My gentle reminder at that time to you was met with derision and further posts along the lines of what you are doing now both on this topic and another which I have now locked.
No more please.

.. Rolls Royce.. ... Bentley.. ..Aston Martin.. ..Land Rover.. :?:

Rolls Royce - BMW.
Bentley - VAG
Aston Martin - too flash and "cosy"
Land Rover - maybe Range Rover, but the XJ is more elegant.

No, I obviously remembered a rumour in the past.

On 12 March 2007, a consortium led by Prodrive chairman David Richards purchased Aston Martin for £475 million (US$848 million). The group included American investment banker John Singers and two Kuwaiti companies namely Investment Dar and Adeem Investment
