The XJ is very bulky, but so is a Rolls Royce and/or Bentley. I think there is a limited market for this type of car. It has a lot of angles under which it looks beautifull - to my opinion - . But from the side and further away it looks weired. But you hardly view at a car like that.
For example : Toyota left the NL market with the Camry as it became too expensive due to stupid taxation in the Netherlands. Now they entered again, with the hybrid Camry sedan. I think it will be a hit, as its a very complete car, creating a market in its own right. Specificly in countries like the Netherlands, Ireland and Portugal with obscene CO2 based taxation.
