Is there an F-Type etiquette

Maybe we should start naming and shaming!!! You know something like "IRR Ftype on A1079 towards Hull with what looked a sheep on his head, and a frown on his face - cheer up and flash next time!"

I don't think I've got this quite right...<div><br></div><div>I was driving along in my other JLR car which is a RR Vogue. I wanted to wave and flash but decided to show the f Type driver that my 2nd car was an f type - I did this simply using my fingers to show my 2nd car ...... but before I could smile they decided to show me that their 1st car was an F Type - using a single finger!</div><div><br></div><div>may be that's not a good idea after all, especially when driving a 4x4?</div><div><br></div>

lol. <div><br></div><div>That explains the two figure salutes that I've been getting , they have two Jags - silly me <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" alt="Big smile" title="Big smile" /></div>

<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" alt="LOL" title="LOL" /><br><br>I've got to fess up, I've been one of those 'non compliant' drivers so far with the F-Type. I used to ride sports bikes and always used to nod, wave, kick a leg, even give a cheeky wave with a knee close to the ground.... but I've never been one for acknowledging another car. Yes i will have a good look and swoon over the other F-Type driving past but thats about as far as it goes.... maybe I should change my ways.<br><br>I'm sometimes obliged to cup my fist though, you know as italians sometimes do so say something is 'bellissimo', and then wave it from side to side so the other drivers notices my acknowledgement of his beautiful car.... never get a very good reaction, can't think why...... <br><br><br>

Passed another F-Type R (AWD) coming opposite me in Helensburgh yesterday.<div><br></div><div>Naturally I got all excited and was saddened when he went past in his own little world.. Or just blanking me.. who knows.. :P</div>

<div><br></div><div>I passed two this week, I am in Coventry so do see the odd one now and again. I must admit I take the lead and offer a Thumbs up and its always returned.</div><div><br></div><div>Maybe the Midlands lot are more friendly !!!</div>

I usually get a small hand wave.. usually...<div><br></div><div>I try to give one haha</div><div>Unless its another IRR Coupe with Black pack... then I grit my teeth a little bit.. ;)</div>

It may be that us F-Type owners like to think that we are the only ones special enough to drive them and don't like being reminded that we are just one of many <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" alt="Big smile" title="Big smile" />

Whilst out today walking (yes , I can walk too) a very nice 2016 F-type in grey with carbon breaks passed me by. I gave a thumbs up and got a wave. So may be its only car-on-car where there is a problem <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" />

I was ignored by a black convertible on the A29 on Tuesday morning :( . Although the driver did look bored and half asleep and wouldn't have had much time to react. Once you start doing this you're constantly on the lookout for F types coming the other way. The only problem I've found, is there's some sort of Hyundai with DRL's in a similar pattern which I first clock as an F type and then realise it isn't! So if you're in a Hyundai and get flashed by an F type it's just me being stoopid, or if you're in an F type and flashed by a Fiat 500......me again. Doh! <br>

lol. Is that like a hedgehog getting confused with a brush <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />

On a longish journey last Wednesday......A roads....top down....great F-Type weather.<br><br>...came across more F-Types on one journey that i've experienced to date......but.... not one of them responded to my headlight flash.......Totally unsociable feckers.....It was as if they were trying their hardest not to notice. Can't quite comprehend the attitude.<br><br>Makes me wonder whether these cars are majority owned by some of the most unsociable people on the planet ! <br>
