Infotainment panel question

I can't find a solution about the following in the manual.
As I am still getting to know my F-type, I'm regularly sitting in it experimenting with the settings of the infotainment screen. But something very ennoying happens everytime. I switch on the contact to activate the screen. But after a few minutes in the middle of what I'm doing, the so called "energy management" switches off the infotainment screen. It becomes all black and non-responsive. Tapping on it don't bring it up again. The instrument panel however stays active. Switching the contact (with the button) on/off doesn't help either. The instrument panel comes on again, but the infotainment panel stays black. Only when I start the engine, it comes back to live. But after shutting the engine down, I again only have a few minutes before the panel is switched of again. As I said: "Very ennoying" :-(
Does someone have a solution for it? Thanks

Yes, it is annoying isn't it. Similarly, I can't sit & listen to the radio while my wife is shopping without continually having to start the engine.

That's just the way it's set up. For peace of mind just leave the engine on. No other solution I'm afraid.

It's Jaguar's way to encourage you to drive the car! Doesn't the Remote app's Status tab say "No issues detected - Go drive"?

It has nothing to do with the battery. My battery was fully charged, and my charger connected. And it still happen 😡.
Running the engine in a closed garage is not an option.

I think scm is right; it's Jaguars way to make us drive the car more 😄😄😄

Mine's a MY18 and yes there's a timer on the infotainment system after switching off the ignition. But I only need to press the volume knob in and it switches the infotainment back on - definitely without the need to switch the ignition back in.

I just tested your theory on my MY21. And once the infotainment screen has been switched off by the energy management system, I can tap on the screen, or press any button, or switch the contact off and on again that display stays dead unless I start the engine. Probably the software is different from your MY18.

Must be. And to be honest that sucks.

Something I missed. With the ignition off, radio stays on for a few minutes, then it switches off (unless you open door and it shuts off instantly) Have to push the volume button about every 10 minutes to keep it on.
