How to tighten the window glass

My driver side window is a bit more wobbly than the one on the passenger side, which is a common thing in cars like mine where the driver door is opened much more than the passenger door.

It's not really an issue but I've been thinking of tightening the window glass. I think I saw a thread about how to do it in the past but can't seem to find it now. I just found some topix extracts about adjusting the glass and it's not really clear how to tighten things up. Any tips on how to do it or which thread that was discussed in?

A post from the US forum, if you've not read this already.

Brilliant, thanks! That must be where I've seen it before. Good thing I'm so used to pulling the door cards off. :)

Mission accomplished and some additional tips if anyone else does this: For the larger locking nut you need a 10 mm socket and for the screw you need a 4 mm socket. In my case the screw sat quite tight and was impossible to budge with just pliers so it's best if you have a 4 mm socket.

Super simple job if you have the right tools. As said in the US thread, loosen the larger nut, tighten the window by turning the screw counter clockwise, tighten the larger nut when you're done.

I don't know exactly how far the window should be tightened but I used my rarely used passenger side window as reference. My driver's side window had maybe 1 cm of play at the bottom while my passenger side window had around 2 mm play, so I adjusted the driver's side window to that. Now it feels nicely tight and solid, especially together with the much more solid feel the door has since I sound proofed it.
