Hoping to become an F-Type owner

BlackBerry for sure, have it detailed and ceramic coated and go enjoy yourself ... and having owned a dark Coupe I would also suggest PPF for at least the front bumper and leading edges of the rear arches.

As for pads, there was a thread a while back that indicated around £750-850 per axle for replacement pads. On the upside, they are pre-bedded in so will give you optimum performance straight out of the box. There will be cheaper options but if you budget for these every 20k miles is it really an issue? Discs are good for around 100k miles I believe.

I was also told by several Jaguar dealers that no pan roof will kill trade values by at least £5k!

By the way, just a thought on the pads, if its due a service before you do the deal and take ownership, try and have the supplying dealer install a new set ... ;)

Rgds, Paul

I hope pan roof doesn't make £5k difference. Mine has £12k of options but bizarrely not a pan roof!

I do prefer the panoramic roof - that's the only thing holding me back from the white one I'm looking at. If I'm going to be spending a lot of money then I want it to have everything I'm looking for.

I'm not overly fussed about the interior to be honest... it's the exterior I am concerned about, and chrome vents etc are a definite no.

Just a thought that you may already have explored ... if you have very specific requirements, is there an opportunity to order new, apply a decent size discount, and be sure of having what you want ...

Ordering new makes it too expensive for me. Plus, Halifax will only loan up to a certain amount. Once you ask for a loan amount of £55,000 upwards the answer is no.
