Hi from Australia

Gooday, I'm new here but have been active in the XE forum and the US based Jag forum over the years.

Current cars are the p300 XE R Dynamic which I love with a passion (my wife's car, i'm pretty fond of her as well), a 2019 Mustang v8 manual which is orange and stripey which should arrive in a week or so (my kind of sensible car) and a 2016 f Type v6S coupe in IRR, with VAP pulley and tune, 21 inch Vorsteiner wheels, and VAP quad exhaust. I've had the f Type from new, it is an absolutely fantastic car and I cant see myself letting it go.

Previous cars of note include a 2011 XKR, 2010 XF 5.0, 2008 XF 4.2 prem lux, and a volvo s60R manual (my last manual), also we had a 2016 XE 25T that went to get the 2020 p300.

I see some familiar names here, looking forward to learning some and contributing some, not particularly mechanically minded but at least I know my limitations...

Welcome Bruce. Have read lots of your posts on the US forum. Always informative & entertaining 👍

Great wheel choice 👌😄

BTQ - You can contribute if you promise to speak proper English...that is, we talk degrees C, Boot, bonnet, Windscreen, Tyres, spanner etc etc ;)
That said, a bit of Aussie banter is always welcomed!
Good to see you on 'this side 'o the pond'!

Thanks guys, yes I love the Vorsteiners. I think we use your UK language though I learned quite a bit of proper English from Vinnie Jones in Eurotrip.

I'm on the Gold Coast in Queensland. We are in the depths of winter at the moment, I think it might not have reached 20 celsius today!

Welcome to the F Type forum, I have found it really useful and sure you will too. Would love to see some pictures of your F but I guess as it’s so cold there it’s tucked up inside?

Here you go!

Very nice! I guess that’s a wrap on the A pillars? Wheels look great too.

We like to buy our fuel in litres but quote miles per gallon just to respect traditions!

Haha, yeah the lighter forged wheels make a huge difference to the handling, I reckon out of the mods I've done that has given the most enjoyment. The black a pillars flatten out the roofline and give the car a lower, meaner look. I really like the effect.

Speaking of mean looking, I saw a blue with black pack new shape f type in the wild on the weekend, it looked absolutely fantastic, I barely knew what it was until I got close. They look so much better on the road to when they are parked, the lights really set everything off. The same applies to the pre-facelift but I was gobsmacked at how good the facelifted one looked.

A dark blue MY21 with a black pack? Yeah, they do look rather good don't they*

* I'm VERY biased

Nice to see you over here by the way, seen you regularly posting on the forum for the other side of the pond.

Yeah it was like that one, I actually didnt know it was an F Type even from the back until I got close because the brake lights are so different when on. Just awesome!

Get some great info from the US forum, really good for the modding aspects.
