Help... Quiescent Relay Box

Hey all,
First, I am pretty experienced in working on cars and their electricals... given my wife has a 2016 F-Type R which is my first Jag and I am not a Jag mechanic (obviously or I wouldn't be posting this...). 😁

I have been diagnosing a battery draw on her car, and it appears that it is the Quiescent Relay Box. Based on things that I can see, the box appears has a simple remove and replace.

It this correct?
Or does the QRB need to be reprogrammed or sync'd to the car in any way shape or form?

If it needs to be reprogrammed or whatever, is there a step by step how to somewhere you can link me to?

Currently I am using an Autel MaxiSYS, but thought about getting an iCarSoft LR v2/v3 (which I have read many have used with much success) to see if there is any difference between the Autel and iCarSoft.

Thanks!!!

Can't help with your specific question but one quirk of the F-Type that's been noticed is that if certain OBD devices are disconnected they leave the car in a state which runs the battery flat within a few days. It's suspected that improper OBD shutdown/disconnection is the cause, and the workaround is to do a quick battery disconnect that resets all the modules. The telltale is that the light in the hazards switch doesn't extinguish after about 15 minutes of locking the car.

Could that be the cause of your issue?

If you need to do any programming the Jaguar SDD will be your best bet. There are lots of tutorials out on the big, bad interweb, so read these before you start tinkering with your car. Don’t get any of the virtual machine clones as they’re slow, download it from Jag and pay the hourly/daily fee to program the car. Make a copy of your existing AsBuilt/CCF file before making any changes, and you’ll also need a decent power supply for the car as it can be pulling over 30 amps during programming
