Hi, I’m new to the forum, although I’ve been following for a while. I’m a middle aged car fanatic, with my imminent purchase going to be my 32nd car (plus 21 bikes). The current garage is a Tesla Model Y AWD (family car), a Mini Cooper S EV (wife’s run around) and a 2003 Merc SL350 (which is leaving to make room for the Jag). I’ve got a mint 1998 Yamaha R1 4XV (1st year) which only ever sees the sun.
Following a long history of CPTSD I’ve just retired early from work and will now have some more time and freedom to try and get better. 1st on the list was a dream car purchase.
So I’m picking up the new car on Saturday.
2016 V6S AWD convertible
Storm Grey with a red hood
20’ carbon blade spokes
Sports seats with red stitching
1 owner from new with FJSH
42k miles
Just had new Pirelli’s and brakes all round
I’ve gone AWD due to the Bonnet vent location and spent an age debating which sound I prefer (V6 or V8). In the end the rare spec and excellent history sold me the V6. And with my first introduction to the F Type having being Clarksons Top Gear review of a V6S it was just meant to be.
