Has anyone had 02 sensor/active exhaust valve replaced under warranty?

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has had an O2 sensor or the active exhaust valve (both common faults) repaired under either a Jaguar or third-party warranty?

I ask because my engine light came on and initial diagnosis has thrown up O2 sensor and active exhaust codes. The code was cleared but engine light has come back on.

I have a third-party warranty (RAMP) from when I bought the car. For some reason, RAMP is insisting it goes into a Jag main dealer (not my preferred choice) for further diagnosis and any work.

I appreciate diffident warranties have different terms and conditions. But it would help to know whether anyone else has had either of these issues sorted under any type of warranty.

Many thanks.

I have had both an O2 sensor and complete new back box covered by Jaguar Extended Warranty.

(And a headlight and both lower control arms).

2 months ago I had an O2 sensor replaced under warranty (check light came on). Luckely it was covered by my extended warranty . It was the 3th sensor down the line. European P300 F-Types have 3 of them.

Hello

I have jaguar extended warranty on my F Type coupe
had a O2 sensor replaced yesterday by jaguar assist all under warranty
no labour or diagnosis or part costs to me ... he even got the repair approved via the warranty company as well

very pleased with the service all repaired on my driveway

A quick update on this...

It turned out to be a faulty O2 sensor. The good news is my 3rd party RAMP warranty covered the cost.

The not so good news is they insisted it went to a main dealer, who've taken two days just to run a diagnosis, then it's taken three days for the warranty company to authorise the work and a further three days for the dealership to get the part.

A week in, and it's currently still in the workshop. All for one O2 sensor. Can't wait to get it back.

Thanks for everyone's comments.

I had one replaced under standard warranty by selling main dealer during first 12 months of ownership.
The only problem was, they replaced the wrong one. Back the next day to have the correct one replaced. FFS.

I had no idea that was a service. How did you go about it? Call the dealer, or the warranty number, tell them you have a warning....

The main dealer had Jaguar assist come out to my second car F type from them I was couple of hundred miles from the dealer can was in dangerous condition so wasn’t going back, not sure how / if you can book Jaguar assist yourself I imagine you contact Jaguar direct and they sort out assist depending on what you need 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hello

Under my warranty I get 3 things

1. the warranty
2. Jaguar assist
3. MOT cover upto £750

There is a dedicated phone number (basically run by the AA) but you get a jaguar tech in his own JLR customer service van
also to note my main dealer told me I would have to wait for 4 weeks before they could see me .. so a good result on my part

assist card

I just phoned that number

told them I had an amber engine warning light .. gave them my Reg
and within 2 hours sure enough jag tech turned up found the fault cleared with the warranty company .. ordered the part, came round next day and fitted now all ok

He even checked any outstanding campaigns on our evoque HST
as said main dealer I would have had to wait for 4 weeks plus would have had to pay £120 fault diagnostic fee .. but with jaguar assist you don't

Ah, just checked mine and I only have "Jaguar Extended Warranty" and "MOT Cover". I will hopefully have the choice at renewal time next May.
