Hi and welcome.<br />For me personally I had mine wrapped in gloss black and the grill surround too and I think they did a great job it just looks like it came out of the factory. The price was £140-00 which is way the cheapest way to go as jaguar would charge you that for an hours labour without the parts!!! <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/837/IMG_0256_2017-03-28_14-12-40.JPG" border="0" />
Please excuse my ignorance, but I have seen the term "wrapped" used many times on the forum. What does it exactly mean - surely I can't be the only one who doesn't know? <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley11.gif" border="0" alt="Dead" title="Dead" />
Thanks @Gillie for the useful info. <div>Much cheaper than I thought it would be.<div><br></div><div>@Chammers - you're not the only one. </div><div>I assumed wrapping applied to the car body panels, not window & grill surrounds.</div></div>

<div><br></div><div>Hi Chammers. "Wrapped" = covering in a vinyl wrap. More cost-effective alternative to respraying/replacing parts (usually). Think the wrap is usually expected to last 5 years or so.</div>

<div><br></div><div>Thanks for the explanation captainham.</div>
It's a lot cheaper!! I got in touch with my local dealer to ask if they did it and they said no but gave me a number for who they use but said they could spray paint my chrome door surrounds and grill surround for £1300-00 so decided to go down the wrapping route for £140-00 plus if you don't like it or want a change just take it off!!! <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
After wrapping, next most cost effective option is replacing with actual gloss back surrounds, which is certainly possible. Respraying at £1300 is steep plus also a silly idea from them when they can order correct parts for less!
Hi and exactly what I thought and prone to scratch marks but they didn't offer me the option of new door surrounds so thought it wasn't available but glad I went the wrapping route as you really can't tell it's been wrapped they did a really good job and a fraction of the cost <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
