Garage?

I'm thinking about having a garage for my new (in March) f type convertible. I know it is able to be out in the rain (!), but having had a convertible for over 10 years would like to avoid the annual de mould cleaning etc.. I have a good size drive, but the car will be parked in front of my caravan, so ok for the winter months but needs to be then be packable away for the summer. Looking at something like this:

Any views welcome.

Prior to garage I kept mine under two covers. The OEM soft cover then a made to measure all weather jobby over that. Nice & toasty, perfectly protected. Garage is best though 👍

I considered a solution like this. I am afraid of lack of ventilation since water runs underneath and condensates on the inside.

From TV series on old cars I have learned that drafty barns are best. So if you have the option of putting a carport, I would go that way.

This has always been the truth in UK that you put a wet car under a cover or unventilated garage and just speed up the rust. A carport was always recommended
Personally I’d leave it in open air rather than a cover as dragging it on and off every day with dirt and grit does so much paint damage
If used once a week then perhaps a cover

But watch out for rodents feasting on the wiring!

This was the consequence of using fish oil in plastics. Today JLR doesn't use this, but instead a substance that equals
the smell of rodent p**s... .. to the are supposed to stay clear !
