Front number plate plinth

That looks superb. Where did you get the hex grill fixings? Got a link? Do they stick to the back of the plate?

Yes they stick directly to the back of the plate, really strong 3M fixing tape. You then just squeeze the fittings through the holes in the hex grille.

It was a proper faff getting the original plinth fixings off from the grille. I used a pair of curved surgical forceps to be able to grasp the bolt head behind the grille through the adjacent hole and I bent the metal of the fixing front plate using a pair of pliers to be able to twist it off the bolt (I was able to straighten the bent metal afterwards to keep the original plinth parts, but if you’re not bothered about that, you could just chuck it in the bin!). It took me a couple of hours to get it done.

Such an improvement to go to a small front and rid of the giant rear plate.
Nice to see how you experimented and got to something you like.
