I know this has been the subject of earlier threads but the latest I can find is Nov 2023 and the questions raised largely went unanswered. So, with apologies, I'm going to ask similar ones again in the hope that answers have become available in the interim 18 months.
I've just taken delivery of a red 2022 F Type R575 (it's brilliant!) and am interested in learning about the feasibility of fitting a fixed rear spoiler - what it entails? whether fixed or active SVR (I'm aware of the cost differential), any significant negative issues etc.
I've approached 2 authorised dealers and one independent specialist and none of them had any idea at all. If anyone who reads this post has experience of such a mod or knows of a garage, within a generous area of the Midlands, that is familiar with the requirements thereof, I would be glad to hear from you.
I'm not convinced by the overall look and performance of the standard extending/retracting spoiler. It is essentially an airbrake without significant aerodynamic proprties and as such, despite fulfilling its primary role, it creates a great deal of drag. In my very limited experience of ownership, when deployed the steering seems to become rather vague. I wonder whether, at significant speed, excessive down-force at the rear is causing the front to lift somewhat? I'd appreciate your feedback on this and anything related.
