First Service Cost ?

Service all done , no plugs as they were done last year with the replacement supercharger , brake fluid changed as well (£55) , car delivered washed and hovered out , new key ordered as we have one that does not work , they have ordered a new set of heater controls to replace ours as every now and then they do not light up . Oxygen sensor replaced as well all covered in warranty oh and she passed her first Mot :-) <br />No change out of £500 in the end !!! <br />In the end we have no choice but to go to the main dealer because of all the warranty work but I'm interested in the details of the specialist near Peterborough .

I've got a V8R AWD coupe and just been quoted a really good £290 for first service - Taggarts in Motherwell who have been great before with my previous Evoque price-matched the best place in the country. No complaints. Also getting some warranty work done - the speaker rattles kit and I have a loose bit of plastic trim on the side of the boot cover.

Hi the specialist in Peterborough is Nene Jaguar located in Fengate. It is my intention to use them once the car is 3 years old and I would have used them for the first service had I not had a sensible price from a Jaguar dealer. I had already received an e mail from Jaguar stating I did not have to get the car serviced at a Jaguar dealer to keep the warranty as long as genuine Jaguar parts were used and the receipts to prove this were kept.<div>I called in for a chat and to get a quote its a proper family run affair and very friendly, I felt a bit guilty not going there in the end due to having a quote of £280 all in for my first service from Guy Salmon Northampton. Guy Salmon were very good to deal with except for my car being washed and left very streaky due to not being dried properly, but at least it was washed as previously at a local dealer after the K309 software update I was told my car was being washed but when it was returned it still had mud up the wheel arches and sills. It was clear it had not been cleaned in any way shape or form, then after 2 weeks still no information on a service package they promised to send to me even after I sent several e mails asking for it.</div>

Looks like a good price from Taggarts. <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" alt="Thumbs Up" title="Thumbs Up" />

never ever have the dealer wash your car post the service, some will put it through a car wash others will use the worst possible cleaning materials and the dirty old rag they wiped down the cars on the forecourt with<br /><br />quickest way to get the paint scratched

I allways tells the service manager two Things when I deliver the F-type for a service:<div> </div><div>1: Don't wash the car. The car will be delivered for service newly washed by me, so there is no reason to wash it any further.</div><div> </div><div>2: Don't test drive the car unless there are specific things that needs to be checked, and only after prior agreement with me (which also includes information on the person that will be test driving the car, usually the service manager himself - and details about what needs to be tested). Otherwise the test driving after the service will be performed by me when picking up the car.</div>

Mine is due next month V8R, just been quoted £396.00 inclusive, reading the comments on here not sure whether that is good or not.<div><br></div><div>My local dealer is in Coventry .</div>

First service done paid for a three year plan at £1140.00, the only warranty work was the oxygen sensors to be replaced which was already on the service sheet so must have been a service bulletin.<div><br></div><div>All done within a day, so ok for another year!!</div><div><br></div><div>2015 V8R</div><div><br></div><div>JP.</div>

My second service is currently being done at Coventry right now too! Your lucky to get the same day as I am onto my third day waiting for collection but said I don't mind waiting to sort a few other niggles to get resolved at the same time. Hoping they will all be done after waiting 3 days, should find out tomorrow.

Hi I know it is a while ago since your post, I was just wondering about the service plan you bought as I have been told I could not have one as it had to be bought within 3 months of the car being registered and mine was ex demo. Also who was the Coventry dealer?<div>I am looking for my second service 6000 mile on the clock and been quoted £528 from Marshalls and £565 from Guy Salmon Northampton. I thought £400 would be more like it for my V8s, I may go independant if I keep getting the "well thats the Jaguar price sir"<br><div>Cheers</div><div>Colin</div></div>

My plan is with Guy Salmon Coventry, they offered me this deal when I booked it in for its first service. They did not supply the car new to me, they are my closest dealer for the service work.<div><br></div><div>JP.</div>
