So as it turns out after a recent wash, it looks as though my side vents were indeed previously Chrome. It looks as though the mirror caps have been painted also, so there’s a good chance the remaining “Black” bits have been also.

As this is now gonna “bother me”, I have the dilemma of trying to source the Carbon bits, or have what’s on repainted.

The only reason why I’m considering the Carbon bits, is I’m about to carry out the front grill mod to eliminate the number plate bar in the middle. And the replacement surround of choice seems to only be in Carbon version. Well, one that’s priced reasonably anyway….
