Firesand, V6 S Coupe

Firesand

New member
Hello there. I am a 'newbe' to this forum, and eagerly waiting on a delivery of a new V6 S Coupe, which, I have been told will be available mid Nov 2106?? The exterior spec is; Colour...Firesand with a panoramic roof, black brake calipers & 20" silver tornado alloys (no black pack!) As I have never seen one of these fine cars with the same spec in 'real life' (and only on the computer image from the Jaguar web site) I would dearly like to see photos of other members pride and joy having the same spec! Roll on mid November ehh!

2106....whoa!...that's quite a long wait

Welcome Firesand.....I'm also a non 'black packer'.....I think we are a fairly exclusive group
Not exactly the same spec - but similar (and wheels are now black). Took delivery Sept 1;

Pricy, Thank you for the photos, looks a beauty. I am trying to picture it in my mind with a non black pack, even trawling through web site photos it seems they are rare....it's ordered now, so too late!!

Personally i think firesand needs the black pack, my v8R was ordered with the black pack but my dealer forgot to put it on the order so it turned up with chrome.
It didnt look right and luckily my dealer retro fitted it for me at no cost to me.
Good idea to have changed the wheel colour to black. Looks so much better. Mine's red with the black pack and came with silver wheels but I had them powder coated black - a massive improvement in my opinion.

Hi Scoobydoo,

Thank you for the web page info, which I visited and gives me a semi taster of what it will look like. From this forum I have seen comments on the Firesand colour, and it does not appear to be a popular shade...Even Piston Heads comments of "who else would spec one in this colour?" made me grin. Ah well, one man's meat is another man's poison...As the saying goes.

For what it's worth, I think Firesand is a great colour.

Interesting - almost all the comments I have seen on here (and the TT forum where I came from), and when out and about suggests it suits the car perfectly, and people love it :)

Agreed - and it looks great with chrome too.

Scoobydoo

I agree. Having the bright 'metal' (Chrome, Aluminium, Silver etc..) colour as a contrast works well with the intensity of the orange and it somehow gives a cleaner, fresher aesthetic than using black as a contrast.
Firesand is a lovely colour; and was on my shortlist when I was looking for my car. Great choice - look forward to some pics!

And the wait is totally worth it!

When I ordered my F Type Coupe last year, I opted for IRR with Chrome and silver alloys. However, when I saw a Firesand Coupe with sports design and black pack I was very close to changing my order. I was worried that Firesand might not be a popular colour and might be difficult to sell on in the future, so I "bottled" it and stuck with IRR - a head over heart decision!

Six months later, my local dealer agreed to buy my old car back and let me order a new car (it's a long story). As I had the chance to start again, I decided to go with my heart and order a Firesand Coupe.

Having had my new car for three weeks, I can't believe how many favourable comments I've had about the colour, many more than my previous IRR Coupe. It seems to appeal to all ages. I love it!

When I figure out how to post photos, I'll load up a couple of both cars.

timbo - how come your side skirts and front splitter are also black? Is that the carbon pack? They are orange on mine, and I have the Sports/Black pack.
