FINALLY placed my order

Exciting times for a new to be F-Type owner, enjoy Sammy. You'll be peeing your pants with excitement every time you drive the beauty...well, I still do.<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />

Hi Sammy,<br /><br />The dealer informed me today my car has arrived and will be ready for the weekend! Can't wait now.<br /><br />Joe

Annndd now I have to go to Montreal for work. So Have to wait another week.<div><br></div><div>The world is a cruel place.</div>

That's a massive shame Sammy !<div><br></div><div>I've just go back from NW USA and didn't see a single F-Type. Lots of other expensive cars, but no F-Type. However, in the car park at Heathrow there was a very nice blue 64 plate. Nice to see it.</div>

I'm same away next week delayed pick up until the 19th now <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

<div>Too much of a coincidence, sounds dodgy to me! <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" alt="LOL" title="LOL" /></div>

I might as well have an affair the grief I'm getting from the wife for buying this car! 😣

<div>Your affair has already started mate...with the F-Type.<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" alt="LOL" title="LOL" /> My wife went ape sh*t with me with good reason, I just turned up with the car without her knowing about, thought Id give her a surprise, how wrong I was, went a bit pear shaped thought at one point she was going to give me the boot. All forgotten now. My affair is still going strong with the sexy beast and enjoying every minute of it.</div>

likewise Joemax - i didn't tell my girlfriend either and just turned up in it - she said ''where are the kids going to sit?'' <div><br></div><div>i said in your old car of course - with hindsight not the most diplomatic of answers - in the end it cost me a new Fiesta ST to keep the peace !! </div><div><br></div><div>still its worth every penny - love both cars - but the F type is amazing - 19,000 miles and going stronger than ever.</div>

<div>Brilliant!! Some of my friends told me I was stark raving bonkers to do such a thing...good to hear that somebody else has done the same. After my wife simmered down she got pissed off that such an expensive car didn't come with a courtesy mirror...I told her you don't need a mirror hun, you look fabulous in the car.<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /></div>

I did the opposite and chipped away at the other half suggesting we get one sort of as a 25th wedding anniversary present (to me of course!). The amazing thing is that without mentioning anything to the dealer I (ahem, I mean we) are picking it up on Saturday which is the actual anniversary date, 2 weeks earlier than the original delivery date. Roll on saturday...

Just downloaded the App for incontrol before I pick my car up tomorrow ( was supposed to pick up 19th but dealer has event on then so changed date to tomorrow) <br />Already pissed everybody in the office off showing them how I can turn car on from phone etc....<br /><br />This before I even get the thing!

Hi Jba - the app works great by the way - if your brave enough to use it when the car is nowhere near you.<div><br></div><div>Played golf in the hot sun (a rare event in Wolverhampton) last summer and started the car with the AC set cold whilst I was thrashing my way down the 18th - was a lovely and cool by the time I got to it !!</div>

Picked car up yesterday! Dogs b******s! <br /><br />I will try upload pictures <br /><br />Question, what's breaking in period? Trying to stay below 4k revs

Put in in "Milk Float" snow and rain mode, that should dampen the temptation to boot it. Enjoy the watching Fiestas and cars alike over taking you, lol. <div>p.s.</div><div>Mind you, you still look the DBs going slow.</div>
