Finally picked up F-Type R

So I picked the car up in Doncaster and drove it all the way back to Dundee.

The sun was out and when I saw the car my heart skipped a beat! It is the best looking car I've seen! Externally, I love everything about it. The wide skirts look great in person IMO - I certainly won't be doing a thing with them. The car looks extremely aggressive and that exhaust note in the flesh... :lol:

The only issue I had was with the seats! They're so firm! I think the previous owner has the lumbar support adjust to its most extreme as my back was aching by the time I got home. Will sit down and adjust the settings on Sunday when I have time.

I've learning how to make it pop and crackle - downshift when at 30/35 mph to say, 2nd gear and the pops and crackles follow.

How do I make it growl when inching along the road?

The distance from Doncaster to where I live and the full tank covered the journey - just about!

Here are some pics taken when I picked it up and stopped on the way home...Before I left for the journey home it was reading 4300 miles on the clock.

Looks awesome! That's the way a white one should look IMO... Black pack and black wheels for a stunning contrast!

Great looks. Agree with dezzy. best combination for a white car (Black Pack, dark roof). Is that Yulong White? Enjoy!
 
I went to collect my new to me 2017 F Type R v8convertible last Wednesday, but the bumper alignment was so bad, they have kept it to adjust. Hoping to get it next week, but when I spoke to them on Friday they were still adjusting it.

Not a great start.

Yes I had my heart set on white but it was a must that it had the black pack and black wheels. As soon as one came available I acted straight away.
I really can't begin to state how awesome this thing looks in the flesh! There's no F-Types on the roads so I couldn't really compare it to anything! lol. I am smitten!

Any tips on the best way to make it pop and crackle and how to make it growl when inching along like in this clip?

It is glacier white - first thing I noticed was the metallic sparkle, it looks superb when the sun is out.

Congrats on finding your dream F-type ... for the slow mo pops/crackles, have you tried combining dynamic with sport, i.e., push your lever left, and then select maybe 2nd gear on the paddles and modulate the throttle for the desired effect ... :D
