Finally got a F type

F type Kev

Hi All

I have finally bought a F type after many years of looking for one to come down to a price I could afford. Managed to get a Stratus Grey Convertible 3.0 v6 supercharged, it took my a while to get the right specification with exterior black pack, heated seats, heated steering wheel & climate pack, I am really pleased with car. I look forward to discussing things & picking up some maintenance tips on the forum.

Congrats and welcome!

Interesting choice of tyres... are you planning to swap them out for a different brand?

Welcome to the forum. Is this a hobby car or your daily driver? What have you had before?
What made you settle on the F Type?

Yes the front tyres are a brand I have never herd of, the rears are Bridgestone so will match them all up to one brand when they need changing.

I have had a long list of previous cars most of which were fast Fords all bought new back in the 80's up to my last one in 2017, including 2x Escort RS Turbos, Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth, 2x Escort Cosworth's, a multi award wining 06 Focus ST, 3x Fiesta ST's.

Before buying my first Jaguar XF-S in 2018 due to life changing illness which meant I need an automatic. I had been looking for a F type for a long time but the price was to high for me to purchase under my current circumstances, until this one came along so took the plunge, this is my daily driver as were all my previous cars.

Some very iconic cars in your past! Glad to hear they were used and not just mothballed. Always fancied an original Focus RS or Racing Puma. The later were very popular with Jaguar engineers as personal cars when they were part of the Ford group.
