Got the car out of the garage for the the first time since November and took it for a wee spin....<div><br></div><div>Boom!</div><div><br></div><div>Very easy to get complacent when you driving it everyday, but four months without it and BOOM BOOM!</div><div><br></div><div>Been smiling and acting like a kid all day again, oh and the active exhausts BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM! </div><div><br></div><div>"boy is this a machine" (clint eastwood - firefox)</div><div><br></div><div>Jagman :)</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>

Yep. I know what you mean Jagman.<br>There's a lot to be said about using/enjoying stuff at the right time of the year.<br>I change my hobby activities to suit the seasons for the variety as much as anything else, but that feeling of starting all over again, like it feels like a new and fresh experience is a real buzz.<br>

We have had so much salt on the roads in the last month that the car has hardly been out the garage. I'm convinced the council are on a mission to get rid of their salt mountain before the weather gets any warmer. <div><br><div>Anyway - the weekend looks better than promising so I can see a run to the Lakes or a run through the borders will be on the cards. It will be it's first proper run out since I bought it....</div><div><br></div><div>Stuff the spring clean in the garden - I'll do that in the rain with my waterproofs on......</div></div>

Great news mate , we have used ours all winter !! Top has not been down much but the traction control has had lots of work :):)

Still loads of salt (and ocationally morning ice) on the roads here, so mine is still tucked away in the garage.<div> </div><div>I was hoping to take it out during easter, but it does not look too good. And then we are leaving for a Holiday 1. april and will be gone for almost 3 weeks.</div><div> </div><div>The good thing is that when we return from this Holiday, a new one is right arround the corner - as we are leaving for Germany (Nurburgring) and Belgium (Spa Francorchamps) 22. April together with 15-20 other sportscars. Our own "mini Gumball-race" with some rather nice cars <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /></div>

I had to start it up in the garage today, just to let the engine idle for a while and make sure everything is still ok.<br /><br />It started right away even though it's two months since last time it run. After reaching operating temperature I opened the exaust and reved it just to aprox 2k rpm, and it pops and crackles like wild <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> <br /><br />Can't wait to take it for this years first drive, but the roads are still wet with lots of salt... <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley6.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> <br /><br />Hopefully it won't be too long though....

It will be a great trip, but I have not yet deceided if I will take the F-type to the track or not. I am pretty shure the opertunity will be there, and I will bring my helmet. But the trip is organized without most of us knowing what will happen. All I know is when and where to meet up for departure (with ferry from Oslo to Kiel), which hotels we will stay in (the Dorint at Nurburgring being one).<br /><br />I will make sure the car is ready for everything before departure though <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
