F-type service recommendations?

My F-type is coming up for it's first annual service.<div><br></div><div>I live in the north-east London/West Essex area. </div><div><br></div><div>My local Jaguar dealership in South Woodford do not fill me with any confidence whatsoever given their poor service when I have been there in the past for services on other vehicles, so I do not want to use them. </div><div><br></div><div>I purchased my F-type S from the Pentland dealership who are great, but are too far away, so it is not an option.</div><div><br></div><div>Any recommendations would be great!</div><div><br></div><div>Cheers!</div>

I doubt that you will go as far North as Ipswich (I live in the Colchester area), but incase you consider it, DONT! Had a terrible experience there and in Peterborough.<br><br>Will try Chelmsford I think, as thats the next nearest, but not been there yet. Keep us informed if you find somewhere decent!<br>

In my experience with my XFR-S, Sturgess in Leicester were excellent. So much so that I would go 100 miles each way to use them. Quite a way from North-East London though I guess...<br /><br />Seb

In terms of sales I liked sidcup far far better than woodford, but haven't tried a service yet.....

Another for Sturgess in Leicester. I live in France and have my F serviced by them when I'm in the UK because their service is good!

I use Stratstone Wolverhampton where the service and sales departments are both top notch - my experiences with both have been faultless

Thanks for the comments all. <div>Given the vote of confidence for Sturgess, Leicester I would like to give my car in there - it's just too far.</div><div><br></div><div>Anyone have any experience of using North One Service Centre, Tufnell Park London?</div>

<blockquote> Top noch service here in Jaguar Monza...</blockquote> <br /><br />Do you think they do complimentary pick up and drop off to Essex? <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

<div><br></div><div>Naa mate, Jaguar sat navs are naff, wouldn't know where Essex was for the pick up<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" alt="LOL" title="LOL" /></div>

Has anyone used the Jaguar 'R' Centre at Grange Exeter I wonder?<div><br></div><div>I phoned three local 'ish dealers, and Grange were the only ones that had the correct answer when I asked which grade of oil they would put into the F-Type!!!!</div>

I had the most shameful experience with a dealer in Rome when for the first time I went to view the <div>F-Type, the only showroom model the battery was discharged!! They had to get a charger for them to give me a demo in the showroom, mmmm not a good start I said, and boy was I right. I asked for a test drive with a V6S and was told that one would be available within 3 weeks...what a joke. And as for the salesman what a nob head, he was more interested in getting me to go and try the food at his cousin's restaurant than selling a car. 3 and half weeks went by, did I get a phone call from the pleb for the test drive? Nope. I gave them an earful when I went back in person and told them they were better off working on the street selling mobile phone covers. Then I moved to Monza and had the most splendid service and professional experience with a dealer in Alessandria, an hour from Monza, and thats where I bought my baby. </div><div>Theres a lot of inconsistency amongst the Jaguar dealerships and appears a lot of them are run by apprentices mixed with cowboys. Jaguar have pulled out the stops with their cars since the launch of the F-Type...now they have to pull out their finger on looking after us and future customers PROFESSIONALLY.</div>

So I had my first service at Brentwood Jaguar a few weeks ago. I am pleased to say that I am really satisfied with the customer service I received. <div><br></div><div>It was a quick and simple drop off. They were able to price match another service centre on the price offered. There was a bit of a delay with getting the courtesy car ready. Initially they were going to give me another F-type, but it did not come back in time, so I was given an XE. This was more than sufficient given I was just going to drive home and back to the dealership the next day. </div><div><br></div><div>Picking up the car was equally simple. I had asked that only the alloys and interior were cleaned as part of the service (not any of the bodywork) and this was done. Payment was taken and I was given the paperwork which had no issues. I was on my way after 10 mins of arriving. </div><div><br></div><div>In conclusion it was a good experience and I definitely recommend Brentwood for your F-type service. </div>

Ask around a couple of dealers and see what they come back with. If Leeds really want your business they will price match.<edited><editID>NoopyS</editID><editDate>2016-03-30 16:01:23</editDate></edited>
