F-type reactions

Agree megatron, in the lightly-used @45-65k bracket its very special. Once you get into ferrari money not so much, although i do personaly prefer it to the Lamborghinis and Astons.

Have to agree with that. For me the Astons, even if better finished internally than any of the others including Ferrari, are a bit plain outside and not special to drive. Lambos are simply chavvy IMO of course. The F type is really pretty. Just wish it was nearer the 1.3 tonnes of the E type.
I really love mine and they are very unique. Even the two dealers I've been to have raised their eyebrows at the carbon roof (I didn't pick it but I do love it). I tested the current 911 prior to buying and found it was boring compared to the 380, never mind compared to the R AWD. I would have needed double the money for a comparable 911 Turbo (with a large T) and the 911 didn't have anything like the soundtrack with the bangs and spits and crackles that the F does. Neither, for that matter, did the AMG GT which I saw up close at the ignition festival.
For the money, regardless of depreciation, I know where my heart lies!

Picked ,y car up yesterday, stopped off at the services for a cuppa tea, on my return found four blokes having a good peer. Once I verified they weren't jemmying the doors open, I had a nice chat to them and soaked up the compliments. Great first day.

Got my brand new f-type s about 5 weeks ago. A couple of weeks ago one of my neighbours stopped his Range Rover outside my house for a good look at my new possession. He wound his window down and shouted to say what a beautiful car it was. A couple of days later he telephoned me to say that he hoped I didn't mind but after seeing my car the other day he just had to have one. He had rushed round to the local dealership and bought one just like that. It's sitting in his drive now, two doors down from mine. What more proof could there be that the shape of the f-type can part people from their money as easy as that.
