Exhaust valves replacement- mod stock or tony banks

Morning,

Got a back box with two faulty valves, broken shafts (rattle driving me mad!) and and after getting both to be replaced.

Have seen mod stock and Tony banks mentioned. Also have seen the odd “new” silencer on eBay and a bit torn on what to do next.

Has anyone here had the repair? I’m one of those picky people who noises drive me mad and so worried if the replacement valves will fail or go rattley after a while.

Logistically not that easy as I’m over near Gloucester miles away from both companies

I can, and have had the silencer off the car so shipping might be possible - guess risk here.

Does anyone have any experiences?

Cheers

Simon

Hi,

Other option is to buy new OE valves (Helical exhaust valves) from a distributor (About £180 each) and get them replaced locally.

I'm watching replies here with interest as I'm in a similar situation and am even more inconveniently located than Gloucester to the repairers mentioned!

Part No is part EV60211-S00-04. FYI my car is a 2019 V8, double check the valves for the V6 is the same.

Helical are a B2B business only, so you need to find a distributor, I used local to me (MK) company - https://www.overkillperformanceuk.com/. Who were really helpful.

From my chat with Helical's support guy, the EV No is the part No, the HA no is production info (Date code etc).

Mod stock replaced my valves with stainless steel ones. I live near Glasgow and I believe they pencil in enough work for a week, travel up here and get it done,so they might do that in other parts of the country. They came to my house done the job in a couple of hous.first class job.

Interesting, one of mine squeaks - awful when window open or roof down.
Out of interest how much do Modstock charge ?

Cheers

That sounds great - got in contact with both companies…

Plus managed to find a second hand unit…will see if it’s any better first

Hi Duke, How much was it all in to get them replaced?

Hi ZeusHavok, it was around the £400 mark,as I said all done in a couple of hours and they sound fantastic.
