Exhaust Tips

I know I haven't actually got the car yet but it doesn't stop me preparing, and the threads on here are only encouraging me, so firstly thanks for that.

So I'm pretty sure the Reims came standard with the black package, at least all badges are blacked out , no chrome anywhere etc, but for me it stopped short, no tinting on the rear quarter window or rear window, I don't want anything crazy but I think it will sit well l with the roof and body work.

Anyways, my actual question has nothing to do with glass, has anyone ever had the exhaust Tips made black? It seems odd to take all the shiny away but leave it on the exhaust, pic inserted, I think it would complete the look having black tips, if anyone has done this how did it look?

Just leave them and they'll get black from the soot over time. :) Although maybe these cars with the petrol particulate filter get less sooty tips. Joking aside a bit of photoshopping should give you a good idea of what it would look like. You would basically hide the exhaust tips a bit but that would probably look nice on this car.

When it comes to the glass, IMHO any F-Type with the pano roof looks best with a light tint on the rear window to match the roof. Tinting the rear quarter windows is a no no looks wise unless you live in a part of the world where you can also put a matching tint on the door glass.

I do think black tips would make the quad exhaust a little anonymous. But the noise would still draw your attention to it.

The Quicksilver and Paramount Performance exhausts have dark tips, have a google or YouTube to see the look.

I fitted Akrapovic tips, they slip over the chrome tips. View attachment 1 View attachment 1

What size did you buy?
The size I got was for a V8 but a V6 might be different. Just check you chrome exhaust outside diameter as I had to fit a thin sleeved to help tighten the clamp.
