The noticeable and more significant point to notice is that the power gain is not just at the peak but throughout the entire RPM range. A performance gain which can be clearly felt on the road with the Jaguar pulling through the RPM range more aggressively.</p><p style="margin: 0px; line-height: normal; font-family: Times;">A significant portion of this gain can be attributed to our Patent Pending housing design which differs from all other aftermarket intakes which traditionally use a cone filter. In our system, the cone filter is reverse mounted to the mouth of the intake and the carbon housing now shapes the airflow down to the MAF tube maintaining laminar flow conditions. Basically the ENTIRE housing acts as a velocity stack as can be seen in this diagram. </p><p style="margin: 0px; line-height: normal; font-family: Times;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px; line-height: normal; font-family: Times;"><img src="https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8710/17530081146_6408957623_c.jpg" border="0" /></p><p style="margin: 0px; line-height: normal; font-family: Times; min-height: 14px;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px; line-height: normal; font-family: Times;">As an introductory launch offer €“ we are offering this to the forum for a limited time at a 15% discount to the retail price:</p><p style="margin: 0px; line-height: normal; font-family: Times;">RRP: £1450</p><p style="margin: 0px; line-height: normal; font-family: Times;">Launch Offer: £1232.50</p><p style="margin: 0px; line-height: normal; font-family: Times;">Shipping £15 within the UK. </p><p style="margin: 0px; line-height: normal; font-family: Times;"><br></p><p style="margin: 0px; line-height: normal; font-family: Times;">We know the kit fits the 3.0 Supercharged so we would like to offer a special disco

If I wasn't so far away plus having a fight with jaguar, I'd take you up on the offer. Looks a quality bit of kit.<br><br>

Thanks. We are very interested to see what it does on the 3.0 S. We are sure the results will the just as impressive. <div><br></div><div>Hopefully a forum member steps up soon. </div>

And here are the results with the addition on an Evolve ECU Remap. <div><br></div><div><p style="margin: 0px; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica;"><img src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7568/15976309682_c7e97682a7_z.jpg" border="0" /></p></div>

So if ive already got 585bhp (pulley and map), theoretically i should see well over 600+ with your intake!!!<br>

<div><br></div><div>Yes :-)</div>

A couple of questions, where does the airflow come from, the grills are blanked off and obviously there is a bottom engine cover on the car.<br>Also they look mounted very low, puddles must be a problem not that i make a point of going through them!! <br>

I would like to ask if there is a non carbon set as you don't see them and just plastic pipes would surely be half the price (& therefore I'd buy a set)?

<div><br></div><div>There is enough ambient air in that location to provide enough flow for over 600 BHP. It is not totally sealed. </div><div><br></div><div>We have been running a filter in that position on Evolve's Supercharged E92 M3 for many years (as do all the other Supercharger kit manufactures) and there is no issue with general water ingress. </div>

<div><br></div><div>Unfortunately not. Tooling costs for plastic is prohibitive so we do not use this material in any of our kits. </div>

I'm very surprised you would not need to map after fitting this as the fuel to air mixture would be different. Is this correct. <div><br></div><div>I also would be concerned about them being so low as to suck up all the water. I do drive the car in every weather. :) </div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

<div><br></div><div>You don't need a remap to suit because we retain the stock MAF sensors. The ECU sees the difference in air density and is able to compensate accordingly. During testing we have monitored Air Fuel ratios and they are fine with the intakes. </div><div><br>Water ingress really is not a concern unless you plan to drive through deep standing water and then open the throttle 100% !!!</div><div><br></div><div>The intakes are shrouded well by the undertrays and arch liners. The only way water will get into the engine is if the filters are completely submerged and you open the throttle enough to have adequate suction force. Clearly, under normal driving conditions - even if its heavily raining, this will not happen as they are well shielded. </div><div><br></div><div>Hope that helps!</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

Interesting, though on your stock dyno run it looks like maybe cat protection kicked in and the ECU dumped fuel to protect cats causing that big dip high up in the RPM on stock run. Still there are gains elsewhere in the curve. :)

I assume the major airflow reduction in the stock system is the muffler tubes assuming this system also replaces those as those are the tube sections after the maf section tubing.
