Eventually found my V6S!! :)

Well, after weeks and weeks of daily checks of jaguar approved web page, autotrader, pistonheads, ebay etc I finally put a deposit down on a car that ticks my spec requirements.... took some time to find one I didn't feel made too many compromises from what I wanted.<br><div> </div><div>V6 S</div><div>Polaris White</div><div>Panoramic Roof</div><div>Black Pack</div><div>Performance Seats (Red)</div><div>19" Orbit Alloy Wheels</div><div>Climate pack (Heated seats, heated rear/front windows)</div><div>Reverse Camera<br>Adaptive Headlights<br>Intelligent High beams<br></div><div>Design Pack (to be added as negotiated at a lower price than to add on the Jaguar Builder! - but please see below because I want thoughts asap on this.....)</div><div> </div><div>Im over the moon, and it looks so much nicer in the flesh. I was a little unsure if the red leather would look too much from the photos, but it looks great. Couldn't be happier. Weird feeling signing up for it. Ive been waiting and saving for around 8/9 years for my mid life crisis car lol. Pick it up end of the month.</div><div> </div><div>NOW - I NEED SOME OPINONS ON THE BELOW ASAP PLEASE!!</div><div> </div><div>Now, some of you will have seen my previous thread relating to the design pack, with mixed thoughts. Now, I know that Sammy made a comment on having the design pack all black like on some of the V8s (as opposed to colour coded - white in my case). SO, I have currently requested the pack be added in gloss black to match the front splitter that is already installed as part of the black pack. Can I have thoughts on this...... am I doing right or do you think I should go colour coded. I think having the kit added in black will retain more of the original lines, especially on the rear. The colour coded (white) rear valance around the exhaust makes it look lower and possibly 'sportier', but I like the way the rear lines seem to rise (a kin to the E Type), and that putting the rear exhaust valance in gloss black will still look tidy, whilst retaining the look of the rear - if that makes sense.</div><div> </div><div>Just want some thoughts, feedback please. The parts wont arrive for 2 or three days so I still have chance to change it. Whatever though, I like the front gloss splitter as part of the black back so wont be changing that - I used that as bartering for the kit....so only needs sides and rear done. </div><div> </div><div>Thank you for looking. And at the end of the month I wont feel like an imposter anymore on this "F-Type OWNERS forum' :)</div><div> </div><div>On that note, I want to thank everyone for their hospitality here to help me in obtaining information and discussion to aid my search - thank you all, what a great bunch!</div><div> </div><div>Carl</div><div> </div>

Personally, I love the gloss black trims, really sets it off against the white, hope you can see clearly on the picture how good it look, well in my opinion !<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/711/IMG_1713.JPG" height="525" width="700" border="0" />

Hi Gary, looks great! Im just wondering if to add the side skirts and rear valance in gloss black to match the front splitter or colour coded white. Havent seen this approach on a V6 before.....<div></div><div>One thing I do know, as nice as photos are of these cars......they never do justice to seeing them in reality. Wow.</div>

If it was me, I'd go for the contrast.....go black.<br><br>.......or if you're feeling daring....red, to match the seats and brake calipers.<br>

Thanks David. +1 for black!<div> </div><div>I don't think my balls are big enough to go red!...but you've got me thinking! <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley3.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" alt="Shocked" title="Shocked" /></div>

+1 <div><br></div><div>Gloss Black will be a great contrast against the white paintwork. Enjoy the car will look great.</div>

We didn't go for design pack but yours will look almost the same as ours but for the wheels, you willl have a fantastic looking car... I'd go for the black side bits (less white to wash) because you will be washing it after every trip......

Well done Carl, the red leather really goes well with white. I have a red one on order for April (only another two months to wait) and I have ordered the design pack with the rear vallance in the red as I think it makes the back look lower and breaks it up nicely. Couldn't really decide about the sides so we are playing safe and having them red also.<br />Steve.

There you go Carl....I hope Gary doesn't mind that i've put red paint on his nice white Jag <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" alt="Big smile" title="Big smile" /><br><br><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/577/IMG_1713_modified.jpg" height="525" width="700" border="0" /><br>

Thanks for that David, very useful to get the image, and reaffirmed that it's not for me personally. I'm pretty sure I'm going black on the side sills, the venturi I'm on the fence with but thinkmit might look nicely subtle in gloss black to match the rear valance.....<br /><br />

Just asked the deler for the master spec sheet from production and although the salesman and sales spec said there wasn't high beam assist and adaptive lights, the spec says it has it too. Was light when i tested so wasnt something i thought about after the salesman said it didnt have it. Little winner if that's the case :)<br /><br />

Thanks Steve. I was originally very sure on getting the rear venturi colour coded as it made the car look like it sits lower, but the more Ive searched and searched and searched, over time Ive started to appreciate the way the rear lines draw up. I fully appreciate both looks to be honest. I havent seen a non black V6 with a black venturi and think it might look subtly cool.<br><br>First world problems eh!<br><br>Which red have you gone for?<br>

<blockquote>Italian Racing Red with ivory interior. </blockquote><br><br>Thats gonna look very tasty!<br>

First off Congratulations on getting the car. I'm so pleased you ended up with what you were looking for. We are going to have to meet up in the spring.....<div><br></div><div>There's a white V6 (340) parked over the road with the design pack on (in white). I'll take a photo in the daylight and send it over (although I'm sure you have seen many photos before now) Anyway I think it looks great with the pack on so I'm pleased you are adding it.<div>I'm taking mine to get clear paint protection film put on the cills on Monday as they get so dirty and I'm worried about the damage to the paint. Probably another advantage of putting the design pack on</div></div><div>Here's a shot taken after it's first proper run out last Sunday....<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/699/Cills_01.jpg" height="321" width="700" border="0" /></div>

For info ive posted some pics of the car (with the design body kit which I ended up
going for in gloss black to match the black pack). Thanks for looking.<br><br>http://www.ftypeownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic823_post6964.html#6964
