Door Woofers upgrade, thought I had it sorted

Hi all,

My F Type is 2016 V6 S.
Has the 770w meridian installed.

Have been reading up on the speaker upgrades for the f type. Read various topics on this great forum, thought I had it all sorted, but not so.

I have purchased 2 x tweeters, and 2 x mids, the upgraded speakers etc, kevlar and signature versions, all good there but here is my issue...

Have looked for the large woofers in the doors and thought all the speakers with these numbers were all kevlar or non paper cones.

Think I have myself confused, I am looking for the best woofers for the front doors signature versions I think, straight replacements (which I assume need to be non paper cones).

@Panstee08 The door subs only come up rarely on Ebay, so you might have to wait a while to source used components. If you run out of patience, you can get C2D24861/LR047119  for £145 each from Britcar.com.

All the JLR engineering / part numbers are correct, as is the XJ parcel shelf, which houses a pair of C2D24861/LR047119.

Just set up a few searches and leave them running for a few weeks, the subs do come up eventually.

So the above link, are these subs the non-paper ones.??
I called JLR and new LR047119 are 145 each, but if the XJ are the correct ones then I can get those

Yes, those are the upgrade non-paper 8" door subs that are plug and play for the F-Type. That's how I sourced my upgrade components. They are exactly the same as the LR047119 or C2D24861.

You will definitely notice a difference in base once these are fitted.

As I'm sure you will have noted from reading the various posts on this subject, applying a triple layer sound deadening (door skin, back of door panel, back of door card) also goes a long way to improving sound quality.
