CTEK Comfort Indicator - fitting

I found the following video very useful and addresses all the connection questions one might have. However, how the hell did he get his wires from the hole in the trim panel down to the battery area? I have pulled all the trim clips I can see, yet still cannot get my hand up the inside to get the cable down.

Did he dismantle the boot interior much more than he cared to mention?

Anyone else done this fitment?

Can you feed some stiff cable down the gap and tape the ctek wires. to the end to pull them through ( maybe use coax TV aerial or a bit of twin and earth).

I just drilled a hole in the side of the under floor storage bucket and I plug it in down there (lazy option)

Good idea to try a draw cable, I will give it a go.

This was one of the first things I did and like you thought how on earth do I get the cable down. But by lifting the flap as shown in this picture you can pull trim just enough to get some fingers under to grab the cables. Tight - yes, but possible.

On my own car, I installed the CTEK Comfort Indicator which sits neatly below the battery access trim panel. It’s out of sight and easy to get at when needed (I’ve attached a few of my pics)....

Thanks to all for your replies. Had a go with string as suggested, and got the cable through. Sadly, I did cut the hole a tad on the big side so it is a bit loose in the hole ;-)

A nod to anyone else fitting in this position. There are other electrical cables and bits behind this panel so mind how you go with you drill / knife! I damaged nothing, but that was luck as much as intent.
