Crossmember broken nuts best fix? No warranty

Hi everyone.

I need to change the transmission mount on my car and I also want to replace the transfer case fluid.
The mechanic I sent my car to broke 2 of the front nuts by using a power drill.
He will be held responsible but I don't want him to fix it because clearly he isn't that skilled.
I know others have had the same problem before.
I just want to know what is the best fix for this?
Anyone that did it before, please I need your help.

I saw this part in the diagram. Not sure how it is installed.

This is not entirely uncommon the captive nuts can break loose, had it with mine the first time the car’s cross member frame was removed to change the oil. See link to older thread on the subject
