Creaky squeaky seatbelt guides

I have a MY18 with the sport seats. The ones that have the leather seatbelt guide.
They've started to make lots of noise as the seatbelt moves over them when driving. Very annoying when it's right next to your ear.

I tried putting some leather conditioner on them hoping that would stop it, but it actually made it worse. After that I tried some leather cleaner to try and at least get it back to its original level of squeaking, but that made it MUCH worse!

Assuming I'm not the only one to have this problem, has anyone else found anything that stops it?

Hi,

It was driving me nuts too. Conditioner, silicone spray, nothing helped so I got a sheet of felt and some double sided tape, cut it in strips and stuck it to the loop.
Not the most elegant but it works.

That's a really good idea. Doesn't look out of place at all.
I think I'll give that a go!

I removed mine from the guide, and is a lot quieter, I like the felt suggestion
