Paragon Fleet Solutions

"O" plate cars were used at Fen End and the Swedish Ice Experience etc.
"V" plate cars tend to be Jaguar cars and lent for track events, etc. If you Google "jaguar f-type nurburgring" as an example or look for F-Type reviews etc

Well I had a xj 64 plate twin turbo 3 litre diesel car that started with OV64 OZV I can't see that being a track car lol

Hence the carbon ceramic brakes on this car and the V plate. Makes sense now I reckon.

Simple R I read that link and your are spot on , hence my previous post of the cars being rented out then sold back to jaguar , I bought that car from Farrell in Bradford was told I was second owner but not the case , had it for nearly 3 years sold it with just under 25,000 on clock was told by a guy called Michael on another forum who worked for jaguar it was a "Friday car " and had to be put back on the line etc , car drove ok never had a problem with it just got fed up with soot chuckers

Looking at the service history, the car did almost half its mileage (around 11k miles) whilst with Paragon. That is potentially lots of people driving the car?

In one word YeS

But you guys know your stuff much better than I do, (part of the reason I decided to join the forum for advice and support), so regardless on the dealer fixing the burn mark, I am not proceeding with the sale.

Just means i have to go and test drive more F types! :D

Thanks all!

Good decision 👍 Far more pampered F-Types than ragged ones. No need to compromise.

Yes, I have decided to calm down and take my time to find one that hopefully has been well looked after. You know what it is like when the excitement takes over and you hear the engine roar. Sometimes you can make fleeting decisions that are not always right! Thanks all.

Thanks! I have alerts set on my phone when new ones pop onto the market via Autotrader. Also checking Pistonheads. I have decided to take my time and wait for the right car to come along!

Liked the look of this one, but guess what - another OY plate!!!!!!!!!

Quite right , multiple drivers could have been thrashed on a daily basis

That is car 6051 and was Paragon Fleet Solutions.
After 12 months and about 10,360 miles it went into storage until it reappeared 3 years later for its first service. After another service it hasn't been seen by Jaguar since Sept 2017.

Dear lord , the more you dig into this Oy Oz etc it shows JLR to be unscrupulous Ba.......

Car 5434. Although it's a VE plate it was privately owned in Cheltenham for first 2 years before moving to Manchester for 2 years but online service history stops there in October 2017 with 27300 miles. Doesn't mean it hasn't been serviced. There might be paperwork for services or maybe they serviced it themselves.

Clear on PNC. Untaxed since 5th Feb.
MOT - warnings and fails for tyres and warnings on worn suspension. Only done 4000 miles in last 3 years.
Don't forget these are £600 a year road tax.

As you probably know, the first two number plate digits are regional identifiers. So OY, OY etc are Oxford; V... etc Severn Valley. When a car has one of these, it does not necessarily mean it's been a fleet or track car, it does pay to be cautious. Condition is most important as a car registered elsewhere could have been neglected or ragged far more than one of the aforementioned.

Thanks simpleR. Amazing what you can find out about a car . Like I myself as others have found out regarding services not been added to the OSH it beggars belief why did they do away with the old service book

Just ordered a jaguar service book and stamp from eBay , decided with much deliberation to do it myself stuff the dealers will also keep a diary and receipts for parts oils etc https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274220962983?hash=item3fd8d7d4a7:g:g-4AAOSwXoRhlQsB
