I have wired up my Snooper to the cigarette lighter but this has presented me with a problem.

When I leave the car the power is still on and when I return to the car the power returns and it crashes the snooper. I have to reboot it to get it fully working again. (Interestingly it still works but does not show the satellite image until it reboots).

I have now fitted a dash cam to the car and this crashes the videos unless I reboot the system.

Looks like I will have to wire to the front foot well fusebox but on opening it - WHERE???!!!
 
You need some piggy back fuse holders, then use a multimeter and find a fuse that is always on or off if thats what you need.. Then you don't have to cut into anything.
 
Hey, I'm looking to hardwire a dash cam in with a piggy back fuse adaptor into the fuse box in the passenger foot well. Does anyone know which of the spare fuse slots are switched live please?

A few of them are - just use a tester - its relatively obvious. It depends on what options you have as to which are live, so you need to test and work it out.
