Interesting read indeed. No surprises really. Cars simply need to be used to last and what an utter faff it must be to keep cars that you don't use.

This part made me smile:

I still can't get my head around what Jaguar were thinking when they introduced those by then infamous materials as late as somewhere around 2012 and kept using them until around 2016 or 2017 IIRC.
