Car cover for f type convertible

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good car cover. My F Type convertible is parked outside all year round (England, South East)

I read somewhere that any cover can catch grit and sand and cause tiny scratches. But seeing it covered in snow this winter, leaves in the autumn and pollen in spring and even Sahara sand last summer, I can't help feeling some kind of protection would be good

Any specific make of cover that is recommended?

Thanks
Richard

We bought the genuine jaguar cover, but only use it when the car is clean. Otherwise best to have no cover, or if you have room one of those folding garage types would be ok.

IMHO you'll do way more damage to the car with a cover on than the elements. They are OK if the whole car is spotless and the cover tight, secured and no wind movement, so for longer term storage, not regular use.
On and off on a regular basis the cover will pick up dirt inside fabric and use that to scratch the paint. Any flapping in wind and it acts like sandpaper. It will also need to be breathable else water will build up underneath.

The roof is durable and all you really need to do is clean it and apply protector once or twice per annum. Same for paint with a layer of wax. Keep bits out of join area around the canvas to bodywork and drainage points clear.

Been running ragtops for 15 years and had them outside a lot of time. Now the F is a garage queen and her own dehumidifier, but that's another story :)

I purchased a Super Soft Stretch Indoor Car Cover from these guys last week, Red with Leaper and Jaguar name logo, looks good quality and fleece lined ,great company reviews, bought the SVR option as my car has OEM fixed spoiler, great communication and all questions answered by women called Stacey, now 7/10 days wait.Anyone purchased a cover from them,
My car is always garaged but Cover will be only used to cover car when washed and polished.

I have also had a few car covers from Classic Additions over the years and would recommend them.
The car is generally a "weekender" so I am able to make sure the car is clean and dry before using the car cover.I have had no issues with scratching paint work as the 3 straps keep the cover secure on the car with little movement even in high winds.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your replies. Since I am not too diligent at keeping it always clean and polished, it's pretty clear cut in my case - cover is a bad idea! On the other hand maybe a bit more cleaning and polishing would be good!

I brought a thermal cover from Halfords and it does a great job of keeping the neighbours cat of the car whilst I'm away all week 🐱🐱.
