Calipers, Discs & Pads Refresh

My Christmas / NY holiday job was to replace all 4 tired discs, worn pads, and clean up and repaint the calipers. I decided to recolour the stock red Calipers to Brembo green. I am delighted with the results.

Discs are the drilled & grooved MTEC ones, with Mintex pads, all works well and very good value.

The only snag was despite trying & trying, I could not fit the notorious front spring clip covers! So I’ll leave that to the garage when it goes in for service next (before I damage any more
paint).

Interesting, how do they compare to std? I assume they are noisier due to the groves?

What did you pay per axle for the discs?

Cheers

Front pair discs £136.99, rear pair £110.86.
Braking is certainly improved but I’m not sure exactly where that can be attributed too - new pads, discs, or new brake fluid and bleeding all round. Probably a bit of all.
I haven’t noticed any additional noise whatsoever.

Nice colour for the calipers, with the car being white your eyes are drawn to the brakes!

I am always a bit miffed with the state of my calipers, especially the front ones. They do look as if they have rusted and just been painted over, the casting is that rough.
