Brake Caliper - Recommendations

Hi all

I am looking at getting my plain factory calipers painted soon (still weighing up colours). Does anyone in the West/North London area have any recommendations if you've done the same?

I'm in the same boat at the minute my rear calipers look horrific

From research https://www.bcs-automotive.co.uk seem to be very highly thought of. I have a quote from them for £330 for all four.

the issue for me is finding a local garage willing to take my car in take the old calipers off, ship them, keep my car and then fit them again when they are returned as they are a mail order service only, albeit they say 24h turnaround.

For replacements https://apecautomotive.co.uk/ who seem to be highly recommended as replacement pads now have their black series for our car which are replacement calipers in err black! I don't know anybody that has the calipers though.

For ultimate replacements https://www.pbbrakes.com/ which a quite a few owners have gone down the route of, they look gorgeous, however aren't cheap, you won't get much change from 4k for a decent setup.

Lastly there's always a rattle can from Halfords i guess if your happy with that approach

just wanted to know ball park figure cost if I want to make my 4 calipers painted? Doing it it by a professional in paint cabin. The rear ones are particularly fade and front one showing slight paint peeling on the edges. Thanks
 
After.jpgUnique Detailing in Toddington, not far from NW London up the M1, less than an hour. Will paint on the car for £320 all in, done ours and well pleased!

Not in the same area but should be a decent guideline - got my calipers done a few months back (East Mids) by an independent - cost just under £300 for all 4 vs £900 or so vs the Jag dealer

So the Jag dealer would have used that independent and pocketed £600 profit! :o
 
Can you take the car to BCS? I’m sure they will remove and replace the calipers once refurbished if you do. Maybe plan a few days away and drop it off and pick up a day or two later?
