Boot Trim etc.

Hey All,

BIt of a random question, I have 65 plate coupe and trims and plastic around the boot and behind the seats are making quite bit of noise when driving around.

Just wanted to check if the quality of the plastics/trims behind the seats and around boot area are generally poor or if just mine is a poor example ; )

All cars in Mercedes have this trim , generic bulk buy stuff no dowpt produced in China by the 1,000 yard for 2 bucks . Try spraying some wd 40 or lithium grease to stop the squeaking, I have noticed on mine that the fake metallic finish they have around the seat buttons on the door that one button is starting to peel

MY 17 Coupe.
No squeaks from the Boot Trim - but where it abuts the body on the hatch opening I have had to reattach using a rubber-based solution as water was getting behind it.
The only place I have ever had a squeak from was the occupant of the passenger seat - which maybe should have been spelled squark.
