Best Outdoor Car Cover

Hey guys,Interested to hear your thoughts on the best outdoor car covers you've used / got?Am currently looking at one of these: http://www.specialisedcovers.com/car-covers/stormshield-plus-car-cover.html

Hello Sammy,

My car sits on drive so a cover was very important to me. Will be getting little/no use during Nov-Jan period.

I also have the OEM which is great but not completely waterproof. Have ordered the rainproof lightweight outdoor cover from Specialised Car Covers. It is being made as we speak & I will provide a full report once here.

The OEM one will be fitted with the lightweight waterproof one on top. This should provide ample protection from the UK's elements.

Hello Nick B787,

Cover has arrived. Not had any weather on it yet but here are my thoughts on quality, fit etc.

Took it out box & very lightweight & a light grey colour. Material seems similar to the OEM one although it doesn't have the fluffy inner layer & has a more waxy feel to it.

It fits absolutely perfect, gatherers up under front & rear of car with elasticated edging. Even has a small pocket for the roof attenna. The OEM version has a couple of loops in the centre for securing underneath with a bungy cord. The Specialised version comes supplied with FOUR webbing straps. One each for front & rear & two for the centre section. A Chinook could lift the car & the cover wouldn't budge. Very well thought out.

As I posted previously. I fit the OEM first, then this ones goes on top for extra protection. Will update after some rain but initial thoughts are this is perfect 👍

In the broadside picture your can make out the four pockets on the lower edge. These house the webbing strap clips. I only secured the front & rearfor this week but will do all four after its weekend run out.

Not cheap but neither is the car & I want it protected from our inclement weather!

Highly recommended 👍
