Hello Everyone,

Glad to join this forum and soon to be owner of a 2019 F-type. Yes it's the 2.0 because Belgium has rediculous road tax and registration fees.

I have been driving Dodge Ram's (4) for the last 10 years. 1.5 years ago I bought a Camaro 2.0 which I sold yesterday.

The F-type imo is one of the most beautiful cars on the road.

Some details :
Corris grey with Ebony Windsor Leather
R dynamic
DAB
Electrical boot
Keyless entry
retractable heated and dimming rear mirrors
polished stainless pedals
privacy glass
panoramic roof
Heated steering wheel
Blind spot and rear traffic monitor
20" 6 split spoke rims
black pack
and climate pack 1

The only thing I will be doing is installing a dash cam. Any info on this is welcome.
Are these cars prone to rock chips? If so I'll consider Xpel

It'll be my daily driver I hope for the next three years.

Regards,
Nick

Welcome to the club! You're right about how gorgeous the F-Type looks, regardless of engine size. ;)
I wasn't a fan of grey cars until I saw Corris Grey .... :D

Welcome Nick, and enjoy! Corris grey is a lovely colour.

I'd recommend getting a ceramic coat and then just a front end PPF wrap to protect paint (unless you can afford to get the whole car wrapped). I did that as mine is also a daily driver.

There are a few other owners on here from Belgium, and Holland. I'm sure they'll make themselves known to you.

Welcome Nick nice looking car. I have had my 2 litre F Type for 10 months and an very pleased with it. I had the front Xpel ppl and ceramic coating from new and can recommend it, was done by a company called Pole Position near Kortrijk.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

So the Xpel is not a bad idea :) Can't stand seeing the rock chips built up everytime (once a week) I wash my cars.
Pole postion it is! They also did my Camaro. Very professional company.

Regards,
Dominick

Nick, welcome to the F-Type clan.

Can't see your picture unfortunately as I'm grabbing what bandwidth I can via satellite from the Oceans of Indonesia...

You can't go wrong with PPF. The F-Type is a magnet to anything road rash related, surprisingly even the rear end, where people often don't consider protecting...sods law dictates that the bit you don't protect, is the bit that gets a ding!

If you are going to keep the car, I would strongly suggest a full cover (I went for a full custom, that wraps around all the edges with at least a 10mm overlap) as I'm anal and I show the car at concours (I know it's too young) events and want to use the car for 'spirited' driving.
I can vouch for self healing Xpel Ultimate, but believe they have an even better film out now.

As with anything, you get what you pay for wrt PPF installations. It's a small fortune, but considering the cost of the car...and if you don't fancy repainting panels, then it's a no brainer IMO.

Hello .. lovely looking example, welcome to the forum and hello from the UK :)

Hi Soldes ! I got an Aukey 4K dashcam in my F-Type. But I recently bought another shopping trolley [BMW AT] and fitted a Viofo dualcam.
This because my 3 kids drive it also and I want to have proof they are NOT guilty as some idiot hits them and comes along with 'witnesses' .
I got it here, and I think they ship to Belgium too : https://www.allcam.nl/viofo-a129-duo-gps .
At € 159 its not even worth to order from China as they are the same price and you have lots of risks with AliExpress [ import duty, defects].
I did not try fitting it in the F-Type sofar. In the BMW I glued the rear cam to the rear hatchdoor and made a loop of cable to allow for the
hatch to open. This works fine ! The Aukey 4k is excellent too, but I like the WiFi from the Viofo a lot : if you set up the connection once, you only have to press one button on the front cam to activate the WiFi. With the app you previously installed you can select and download video directly so no hassle with taking micro-sd cards out , and-so-on..

One possible issue can be that the rear cam cable is a rather large diameter, which could proof a problem in installing.

Be aware its somehow illegal in Germany [ not in case you are involved in an accident], very costly in Austria [ € 10.000,- fine] and suppposedly illegal in Portugal, but I never had a problem there..

They don't deliver the Aukey anymore to NL. Maybe they do to Belgium : https://www.amazon.de/AUKEY-Weitwinkelobjektiv-Superkondensator-Bewegungserkennung-Loop-Aufnahme-Schwarz/dp/B0771DYFTZ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1547239699&sr=8-1&keywords=aukey+4k

Great info Dan!
I did remove the Blackvue from the Camaro last Friday, so I'll try to reuse it. I'm browsing different forums to find info on a switched 12V source (I don't need it for protection when parked) either in the mirror or passenger fuse box. The mirror tap would be the easiest but for now I can't stop driving. The 'new' needs to wear off first ;)

Hi Nick this may help you get an idea.
Although my V6S is a very early model the principles are probably still good.
There are a few posts on this forum regarding cameras,

Good luck
