Bed for the winter

Scrubs up well, a bit of polish and ready for storage.
Headed for the garage for the winter period trickle charger and car cover.
Prob it's last winter storage by me - will be getting flogged in spring.

How many lay up their FTypes for winter?
From what the pundits say it going to be a bad winter, so no point sliding around in ftype.

Mine's a daily driver - why would I buy a Jaaaag and leave it alone?

I will use the wifes Jag,
F-Pace - much better for the crap weather up north - and I dont need to clean it :)

I bought mine to drive, not garage.
Evoque available if the weather is too bad to be safe, which is rare

if I were to be sure of parting in the Spring, I’d test sell it now before the predicted recesssion takes a good few £k off the value.

Work overseas so normally garage cars over winter - wife wont drive them anyway.
Recession may be a killer, but spring is better to sell soft tops. plus recession also effects what you buy so if its a crash, my next car should be cheaper..LOL (man math at work). Prob is not sure what to replace it with yet.

Mine will be garaged Nov-Feb… there are always a few nice winter days where it becomes difficult not to just grab the keys and head out!

I usually bed mine Dec, Jan, Feb, maybe March if weather is poor, and saves a bit of Tax (esp the annoying luxury Tax) and perfectly happy to be out in the Evoque on sticky winter tyres, as those months are generally all work and no play for me!

Does make something to look forward to and pleasure getting it out in the spring.

Plenty of nice days from now , have had plenty of wet days driving already and no loss of traction with 4wd and new tyres , great to drive to the coast which is only 30 mins from here , looking forward to lots of fun in the loud F .

No Bed for us, it’s our one and only daily, off to Waitrose tomorrow for the weekly shop, then a 600 mile road trip in a few weeks time. That trusty snow, rain and ice mode keeps us heading in the right direction

Point of order - it's all wheel drive, not four wheel drive - it's predominately rear wheel drive unless the car feels that a bit of front assist would help you avoid fallng off the road.

Lovely colour!

I've never put my weekend cars to bed for the winter, would always be kicking myself missing out.

Some of the best drives (especially in a convertible) are on a cold, dry, blue skied day. Heated seats on, heated steering wheel on.... Glorious, even up here in the NE of Scotland.

Would be better SORNing it June to August when it's continious rain :D :D

Haha, touché, although thankfully not here on the east coast. I was over on the West coast a few weeks back, awful!
