Base seat swap

Update is he believes the seats are from a 2015/16. So wondering whether there were any major changes in terms of fitment from 2014 to 2015/16? They’re manual sliders the same as mine as well.

Hi all

Apologies, question #7634 from me on this forum! I’ve currently got the half leather seats in my 2014 V6 3.0 and have found a set of delivery mileage, mint condition all leather ones. My current are not heated and I’m not fussed about having them but would definitely prefer all leather.

Is there anything I should look out for (how compatible are different models etc and are they particularly difficult to swap). Hoping that they’re a similar year obviously and waiting for the seller to come back with more info.

Many thanks in advance

Thanks

Shaun

I guess it’s a question of them being either the std Sport or winged Performance seats and base or full electric adjustment.
No doubt others will have more detailed info. to offer.

I've not swapped seats on mine but have done on an XF and countless other sports and saloon cars

You can be sure that any F Type seat you can find will physically fit and it's going to be a simple job with 4 torx (not having looked at mine to confirm) If you have power then you need to do some back and forth movement under power to access fittings, before disconnecting the seatbelt components, else will trigger the airbag system
Equally almost certainly any functionality won't be simply compatible, so you'll lose any power options beyond what you had before, memory, heating, etc. as Jaguar software, looms and even where the power comes from varies. That where the fun part will be...
Worst case is it will be possible to retrofit the backs and bases onto your own frames which I had to do on a BMW Z4, or swap the covers onto yours. All depends on which seats, your time, skill and desire to do such mods

When you know if the same seats and more detail of the seats, post up what they have
