Bargain - Maybe?

Seen this on eBay, maybe a bargain for somebody (currently at £6.6K) sounds OK . Not sure I agree with their diagnosis of valve oil seals. Smoke looks too white for oil. Head gasket, over fueling. What do we think?

And if so could have suffered from hydraulic lock and subsequently damaged valves, piston rings, etc.

Buy it, video the repairs, upload to a well-known video streaming platform, watch the money come rolling in, and if it doesn’t break even then ‘raffle’ it off…

If you have a decent workshop, time and appetite for it then could be good, however you can pick up a good early couple for less than £20k.
If the bidding goes up much then slim margin to risk. No mot for 12 months makes me think plenty of people have looked in the last year and passed on it..
I’ll bet it sells for £12k+ given lots of bidders and now at over £7k

It's a bit confusing that it is advertised as a non-runner, but then there is a video of the engine running. Is there also a transmission issue that prevents it from running?
As for the exhaust smoke, I think it could be oil burning which could be anything from turbo oil seals to piston/bore wear and damage. Unlikely in my view to be valve stem oil seals because that fault normally only gives puff of smoke on start up, as oil that has accumulated is burned off.
The amount of smoke from the exhaust, if it has been going on for a while, may have damaged the catalyst.
Personally, even at $7k, I think it presents too much of a risk

White smoke = injector from our history on here.
