Autowatch Ghost-II CANbus Immobiliser

I had mine fitted in feb when I collected the car.
It’s a 5-23 button sequence (paddles, steering wheel buttons, wiper stalks etc). It can be configured not to start, or to start but will cut off when you select a gear.
You choose the code..

The iPhone app is a convenience thing - it’s also a vulnerability, if it’s in range in the house it will authorise the car to start if the app is running. I haven’t downloaded the app on the guidance of the installer.
I can manage to remember my code.
Once you go through the sequence it will confirm acceptance of the code after 1-2 seconds. You can then start the car normally - If you don’t wait it will give you all sorts of ecu / engine / gearbox error codes if you try to start it.

I’ve had quite a few immobilisers or trackers and this is the easiest (no additional fobs etc to carry round). It doesn’t reduce your insurance premiums as they are not rated like alarms and trackers - which is pretty pointless.

I’ve got the stickers on mine - I’d rather them know it’s unlikely to start before they spend time buggering the car up. Although the stickers are 1 inch square transparent, so you can barely make them out when it’s daylight - night time they are invisible!

Highly recommend it, I’ve left mine once or twice in places I wouldn’t want to by choice and have peace of mind.

It has a service mode too - will stop if it goes over 30mph!
